I've been there Ack. When my wife left me I fell into a pretty bad depression and couldn't find the motivation to even post here.

Just know that you have friends and people who admire your contributions to the community here. Remember, you WILL bounce back from this. It may seem like the end of the world but its really not. Life is long, and this is just a new beginning for you.

Acks father is in a town on the outskirts of Atlanta. I live in town and have his number, so if any of yall have anything yall need to tell him you can pm/email him, or send it to me and I can call him.

My girlfriend and I made a cannonball run down to pick up Acks NeoGeo for a temporary loan and he was in good spirits despite having a broken hand. Speaking to a mutual friend who helped him today, he is doing well. He may or may not be on the internet for a couple weeks though.

Geez, how many of us at RB have had wives/long time gfs leave them? :( (rhetorical question... I don't actually want to see a poll on this one!)

I kind of wish I was down in the States. It's lonely up here where I am in the northern wilderness!

I'd actually like to try living up in the northern wilderness; not as a permanent thing though. I've always liked super-cold climates.

Ack,

It might be hard to hear now, but you are better off without her.

Good luck chief, keep your head up.

Haha, I don't mind the cold winters really that much. It's more that everyone I meet online on sites like this lives nowhere near me!

Equalsign, what did you do when you found out about what your ex-gf did? Maybe it would be somewhat therapeutic to read that sort of stuff for those who are willing to share.
