This.

Anything 2 generations and older is retro to me. Although, I personally consider the Dreamcast as a retro system, and the Gamecube/PS2/Xbox more modern.

I feel that the dc is the same Gen as ps1 and 64. Not ps2 and xbox.

uhh, the Dc was superior BUT it had many more games in common with ps1 and n64 than it did with xbox and ps2.

I consider the DC to be in a weird place in history. There's definitely a flavor of both 6th and 5th gen games on it. I'd place it's library closer with the early 6th gen games vs. the mid-late 5th gen ones though.

Maybe the DC was a bit too advance for the time, and for that the developers did't know how too put all the power. But yeah i see your point, Rayman 2, RE 2, MK 4 Gold, evil dead and some more.

So it's a 5.5 gen... mmm interesting.

I didn't mention graphics at all. I'm going strictly off the games available for the system. :?

If he was talking graphics, this whole DC is part of the 5th gen thing wouldn't have even come up. And for the record, I agree with him. DC seems more like an 5th gen console than anything else, even if tech-specs wise it's part of the 6th.
