Great monitor. Here's mine.ApolloBoy wrote:I have a 14" Sony PVM-1390, which is a bit on the small side but the picture is incredible, especially through RGB!

I tried to hold out for the 32" version of this one. You are right in that it is likely the ideal TV for 4:3, 480i and lower gaming. I settled for the KV-32FS120 instead.retrosportsgamer wrote:It's a rarer 27 inch WEGA - KV27FV310 - has multiple component and S-video inputs and is very different in that regard to other 27 inch WEGAs (more common FS100).

I'm looking for the 'optimal' CRT TV that is "flat" with component inputs and the like... I'm guessing this matches it unless anyone has any other suggestions?Zing wrote:I tried to hold out for the 32" version of this one. An old photo:
I no longer keep my games in the cabinet. Now, it houses an original PlayStation, Super Nintendo, DVD player, and two-channel receiver. The games are on a CD/DVD shelving unit.
The Sony WEGA series are pretty good, there are also HD 4:3 versions. Look for the KV HS series, Retro and Current consoles all look great, reviewed the KV-32HS500 at my CRT vs LCD Signature link.dogman91 wrote:I'm looking for the 'optimal' CRT TV that is "flat" with component inputs and the like... Awesome, another PVM-1390 owner! I've been loving mine so far, I don't think I can switch back to regular TVs now. When I get a place of my own I'm definitely gonna find a bigger PVM to support the one I have now.
Why 24"?RyaNtheSlayA wrote:Okay, so I've been thinking for a while, and, I may want to pick up another CRT. The thing is, it needs to be less than or equal to 24", and support 480p through component. I would need s-video as well. I know that's a very strict set of requirements, but hopefully somebody here may be able to give me a recommendation. If not, my dad's Onkyo PR-SC886 handles SD content pretty damn well and I'll continue playing on the plasma.
Space requirements. I don't have room for much more than that.Zing wrote:Why 24"?RyaNtheSlayA wrote:Okay, so I've been thinking for a while, and, I may want to pick up another CRT. The smallest size Sony HiScan Trinitron is 27", unfortunately. Otherwise, it fits your needs.
Exactly what I'm looking for! Know of any comparable TVs that also have VGA input for the Dreamcast?...or a VGA to component converter that works for it. Otherwise this is perfect... thanks!CRTGAMER wrote:The Sony WEGA series are pretty good, there are also HD 4:3 versions.
