Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection (XBLA, PSN and PC)
Re: Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection (XBLA, PSN and PC)
Ah damn, I have that on Saturn too! Forgot about that. Alright guys, you caught me. I'm not a Street Fighter fan. Whatever, I'm sure the point I was trying to make is still good. Use my other analogy instead and ignore the Street Fighter one.

I wasn't trying to be a dick. What you're saying makes sense none the less.
I do think it is cool to include previous iterations of fighting games in one collection, though. It's neat to be able to sit down and be able to play each evolution of the game, and see what changes were made and how the game grew hands on.
I really like Guilty Gear's approach to this in the later games, how they let you play as character's GGX incarnations.

LOL yeah right, the person who loves playing 1 and 7 is going to beat the person who's been playing MK competitively for years. It's no wonder you used the connection excuse.Weekend_Warrior wrote:I have a "ghetto speed" connection. Otherwise I would. I'd take Splashchick to school!

Maybe I don't have the time and money to be sitting on my ass all day and night playing video games? Honestly, I wish I did. But it's not going to happen... not at my age (31).SplashChick wrote:LOL yeah right, the person who loves playing 1 and 7 is going to beat the person who's been playing MK competitively for years. ...and I never said that MK's 1 & 7 were my favorites. I just said I liked them. I'm not a hater like you are. I'm from the old school. I cut my teeth in the arcades

Ah yes, internet posturing. Very intimidating.
Perhaps you two would like to flex in each others general direction? See who has the best pose and the biggest biceps?
Don't forget to grunt.
Edit: Nice image sevin. Couldn't be more perfect.

Weekend_Warrior, Splashchick, both of you need to cool it. Sure, you have divergent opinions on the MK series. That's great. But there is no need to turn it into posturing and both direct and indirect insults. Lay off each other guys.

Who wants some of my popcorn?

To help get this thread back on track, I'll repost some things I wanted to talk about...
Another thing I just thought of, I hope the high scores in all the games work right. In MKII on PSN, the high scores don't seem to save correctly. When ever I view them, there's only 1 high score that was my brother's, but we both got high scores plenty of times. I'm not sure why only 1 of them is present.Ziggy587 wrote:What I wanna know is, with this version of UMK3, when you unlock the hidden characters are they saved? Better be! Also, in this MKII version, are you gonna need 50 wins to fight Noob and 250 to play Pong? They should tweak that down like it was in other versions. Make it actually possible. Or have an option to set the number of wins yourself, even if it's a hidden/secret option.
