The Gamegear version is ok, but has a much smaller gameplay area and the feel of the game changes. The Gameboy version is just terrible.

@sevin, interesting that you went with GG version. Fast said that both handheld games were bad. Though I'd imagine that the GG would be much better than GB. Don't know what they were thinking putting a color-based game on a black & white system. Anyway, interested to hear yr thoughts, especially if you have any other version to compare it to.
the gamegear version is not bad at all and it's the only version i can play right now. but since there is a Jaguar version, i might get that one instead. i need more excuse to add more stuff into my Jaguar library collection and this game will do just fine. :)

Just played for the first time. Played on SNES (emulator) got 24000. I have heard of it, but never played it before. I actually like it alot, its very addictive. Im not a puzzle game fan at all, so I wasn't expecting much. I feel like the gameplay is great, but I wish the graphics were...different. Not "better" but different. I wish the peices that came towards you looked more like something. Or different shapes...I know I am just nitpicking but it almost bugs me how the shapes dont really look like anything.

Gonna have to sit this one out I think. My PS2 is broken and my mega drive, SNES and game gear are at home. Only option i'd have is game boy, which seems to be a bad idea.

There's a DOS version. Dosbox should run it no problem.

I have always had sound errors trying to play it in Dosbox. Several others I know had the same problem.

I am getting so close to breaking 100K, as I keep hitting in the low-mid 90s and then doing something dumb

I really like the risk/reward factor of deciding to let your chains of color grow out out or keep them small and at bay. I have tried to do a balance of these, as doing just one or the other seems to result in fairly low scores and/or quick deaths.

Agreed. Strangely, the more I've tried to THINK about what I'm doing and come up with a strategy, the worse I've done. My scores keep going down. It's weird. I seem to play better if I just kind of space-out while playing haha.
