Fastest job I ever quit was Wendy's in 3 days. But the worst job was Captain D's; 6 months of oil burns on my hands and forearms from stirring the fish pot for minimum wage around lazy fucks who used and sold drugs on the clock.

I worked KFC for 1 day and quit, many years ago. I knew right off the bat it was not something I wanted to do.

I work for Microsoft as a software engineer. I got started doing medical imaging during college working at the University of Michigan's hospital, which is a big top 10 hospital so its was a good place to start. Then I moved to DC doing research and prototyping at a big hospital here, some of the projects where related to medical imaging. Then Microsoft came in and bought our group and our flagship product Azyxxi http://www.azyxxi.com/. So we got a new office, but I work with the same people really which is great. My current projects are developing the servers software for databases, processing and other enterprise stuff. I'm in charge of developing a scripting engine, which is designed to make putting shit in databases easier.

Overall I like sticking to working on medical software, its a good industry to be in.

I am currently vying for a GA position so that I can both get paid and not have $24,000 in debt when I finish getting these graduate degrees.

I work in a fucking gas station. Wait wait wait. I work at a fucking AmPm. There we go. It is the only job I could get after quitting Petco. Yeah I liked Petco, I met my fiance there, I groomed dogs and cats, became an aquatic specialist and learned alot about reptiles and small animals. But those co workers of mine were fucking idiots. So I quit was out of work for about 3 months. Went to get gas and saw a sign in the window. Got an application, turned it in the next day, got called the day after and was interviwed and hired. I had only been working there for a month got my first raise because the owner likes me. He slips me money whenever he comes in so its all good. It is the only job I could get because I have two strikes and I have only been out of jail for a little over a year.(july 21 was my 1 year). And I am not ever 21 yet. Just a few weeks until that. Also did one year in jail. But anywho, so now I am getting certified in manager training fields so I can be a gas station inspector. Starting pay is $50000 a year as an assisstant manager and $95000 as a manager inspector. And its awesome because all the gas stations I would be inspecting are open 24hrs a day so I could inspect whenever I wanted to. However as an assisstant manager you have to inspect 50 stores a week, and as a manager you have inspect 100 a week. You could do them anytime, inspect as many as you want in a day. And then sleep once you are finished. I would still however like to get into the video game business. That is something I have alwasys wanted to do. That and make the best kick ass coral and fresh plant show tanks.

Wow, fish are hard work. I'm glad you have the interest. I don't. I'd just end up getting them killed, feeling bad, and never having fish again.

Ok I'm growing to like this little job. Nightshift means I never suffer the summer heat, put up with any real traffic. I don't have any hard bosses breathing down my neck. I'm not treated like a machine. The break room is nice. For lunch, naturally you have virtually anything in the store to pick from. The pay will be enough for my needs.

The only real downsides so far are that I'm working with mostly Mexicans, but half of them can speak English and are pretty friendly. There's only two other white dudes, a mute metal-head and an artsy cool gay guy who called me cute. I dunno why I attract gays and yet I repel women. That's the third time that's happened. I must have went wrong somewhere in my life. :?

Whats wrong with Mexicans? I'm not Mexican but I got some Mexicans friends. I know sometimes they can be a pain in the arssssss even speaking the same language. Im just curious about that downside that you wrote.

And the gay thing.... Don't worry same thing happens to me. Lucky I found a woman quickly.
