I want to say I had that same one when I was a kid. The one I remember for sure was a Michael Jordan one, thought that thing was so cool 8)

I can't believe that everyone feels too superior to even give this show a shot. This show is different from the vast majority of western animation; it is actually appealing to adults and teens, as well! You are seriously underestimating the appeal of this show. Just because it is aimed at young girls doesn't mean it is bad, although I probably wouldn't fault you for thinking on that premise. I repeat: This is not braindead like most girls' cartoons. It is clever, well-drawn/animated, and has great voice talent. At least give it a shot, unless you are staunchly opposed to the idea. It is essentially impossible to convince someone who is completely closed to something new. I will end with this: Have YOU ever seen a unicorn kick a manticore IN THE FACE? Didn't think so. Give the new series a try.

/co/'s anti-pony threads are far more annoying than the one never-ending pony thread. Just sayin'

I don't think it has anything to do with feelings of superiority. Television is generally one of the worst ways to spend your time on the planet, and a show about cartoon ponies just seems far too silly for any adult to possibly consider watching, regardless of what the appeal might be.

Yeah, you could spend it on internet forums or playing video games...

You don't see how television programming is worse for you than those two things?

Not really. None of them are exactly productive uses of your time.

If you have a good reason why TV is a worse waste of someone's time than watching movies, listening to music, reading comics, etc then I'd love to hear it.

Listening to music, playing video games, communicating with people on a forum, and reading books all require thought and can ultimately be ways to better yourself in one way or another.

Television does not. Television effectively rots your mind and makes you ok with being bored and not using your mind, much like drugs do.
