I fuckin' love Superman 64 - I eat that shit for breakfast! It's the pinnacle answer to the "Are Video Games Art" discussion. Hell yes - they are; just look at Superman 64.YoshiEgg25 wrote:Superman 64.jfrost wrote: Name a title, you can find a fan on Racketboy.
Never in the history of video games, since Sonic the Hedgehog 2, has a game protagonist violated a ring so beautifully!

other than basketball, I am in no way a sports fan. But I do enjoy a well crafted sports game.SwooshBear wrote: I do alphabetize, I just have very few genesis gamesand I dislike most sports games in general because I an not a sports fan, unless you call racing games and skateboarding games sports.

I could care less about updated rosters and those small yearly tweaks. A good sports game is a good sports game regardless of what year it came out.

Re: What to do with retro sports games?
True, but the good sports games are vastly outnumbered by the bad sports games. Intellivision Major League Baseball and Neo Geo Super Baseball 2020 are classics. Not aware of any other baseball games worth playing, but there are tons of them.

Re: What to do with retro sports games?
Depending on what it is, I'll hang on to it. I don't care about updated rosters for the 4 major sports. If it's a good game then it's a good game. I think I kept alot of wrestling games too. I used to be obsessed with the Ultimate Warrior so I still have every wrestling game he made an appearance in regardless of how good the game was, which I think I liked all the games he appeared in anyways. The point is, it sucks, chuck it. If it rocks, keep it. Unless you're a collector then you have your reasons.
I am addicted to video games, especially retro gaming from my era. I have: NES, SNES, Nintendo 64, Gamecube, Gameboy, GBA, Wii, Sega Genesis, Sega CD, Dreamcast, PS1, PS2, Xbox, and Xbox 360. I have probably over 1,000 games in total for all these systems combined. Yes, I need help and I wouldn't have it any other way! This is my passion and hey my wife still loves me!!
