Was I the only person with a fucking lavalier mic? Skype still made my audio feed sound like shit though. I guess I am the only guy here with experience in engineering. I was tempted to hook up my Rode NTK and pop-shield but decided that was massive overkill. When my lavalier system was being dumb and not working, I almost contemplated it. Then realised I hadn't synched it in a while... Derp.

With Skype combined with the reduction to 128Kbps/mono, much of those details will get lost. The best sounding episodes are those with good mics on both sides that are recorded separately than synced. Even then, the necessary reduction cuts the quality down.
