I love the Massacre series. Have most of them. Seen em all. Even Hard To Die. :) Cheerleader Massacre was pretty lousy. Unless there's an unrated cut I don't know about that was better.

about as seriously as Linnea Quigley shoving lipstick into her tit in NOTD.
^ This. We're talking about horror movies here. 99% of them will have one or more scenes or elements where you have suspend believability and just go with it. Most of the killers in slasher movies can't be killed, Ghost, Demons, and Zombies come forth from the earth to devour man, man inserts soul into inanimate object and goes on rampage, etc. That's part of what makes some of the movies so scary, the thought of something unnatural happening and having no idea how to stop it.

alright well it bugs you for whatever reason. It really never occurred to me as any sillier than anything else in any other 80's shlock flick.

To be fair, even Sam Raimi himself hates the tree rape scene.

why? The Evil is within the woods. The woods are trees. The trees attacked her. Not sure what the problem even is.

I just recall him saying that if he could go back, he wouldn't have included the scene. I guess he's kinda embarrassed about it or something.

Never bothered me perosnally. Sure I found it kinda ridiculous but eh, it's an 80's horror flick.

that surprises me a bit. BTW, re-watched Drag Me To Hell last night. I really like that one a lot. Hope Raimi actually continues to make horror again.

Which April Fool's Day, the one from 1986 or 2008? I saw both of them but like the older one more.
