Kotaku is a blog, and I've never heard them be considered a reputable news source. We hang out on a forum, a video game forum, and just as ridiculous (if not more ridiculous) threads have been started here. The only difference is Kotaku has more readers then we do.
furthermore I'd like to go back to post 1:
... but the writers has to try and defend the Japanese, thus giving the source material credibility (the best way to devalue an argument, is to make it a joke)
I'd love to see your argument as to why joking is the best way to devalue an argument.

I didn't say an argument for why it's effective.
You didn't claim effectiveness, you claimed it to be the best.
And Charlie Chaplin's "The Great Dictator"? Because it was Charlie Chaplin who defeated Hitler's argument that the Jews are inferior...?
