Bleah. I was hoping the Jets would do that in the Super Bowl. That would've been much more exciting.

As it stands, the two better teams made it through to the big game. The Jets had a good mindset (although I have no idea why Ryan deferred a first-strike option) and the Bears were just an all-around team. The Packers have an energetic defense and a superb offense with plenty of skilled receivers; the Steelers have that too, but are also bigger and faster. As a man more famous than I said, you can't teach size; Tomlin's team takes the licks and keeps on ticking.

Against the Ravens, Roethlisberger took hits and continued to score; against the Jets the Steelers ground out a quick series of scores and managed to hold on. Discounting the rout in Atlanta, the Bears did showed Rodgers can be stopped in the second half and only lost due to a literal-last-minute interception.

I like Mr.Rodgers, and I like the style the Packers have, but I predict the Pittsburgh offense to run roughshod in the 2nd or 3rd quarters. A gutsy comeback in the 4th will fall short courtesy of the current Hits-burgh defense. Nine times out of ten, the physically bigger team gets the win. (That tenth time, the Giants get a lucky break.)
My scheduling skills have died of dysentery; I hope to visit at least on a monthly basis.
Still, don't forget to tip your waitress.

People never hate the ones who suck.

Move over T.Brady, if the Steelers win the Super Bowl, Ben will be crowned the best QB of the decade, and possibly of our lifetime.
I recall Joe Montana winning 4 in the 80s... And you seem content with Rapistberger but not Mike Vick? Even though I think Vick has shown more signs of turning his life around than Big Ben has?

Tell me one thing Vick has done to turn his life around. He missed appearances at youth football camps, including his own Vick Youth football league (where he promised to show up, because, that is what the parents pay for). Vick has yet to pay back $30mil+ to people he owes it to, but doesn't mind spending money on himself. Vick is responsible for the murdering of thousands of animals, and lied to his boss, his boss's boss, and the CEO of the company without batting an eye.

Tell me one thing he has done in sincerity to turn his life around. Speaking at a school because it is court appointed does not count.

Never knew Roeslisthberger was charged with rape. Oh wait, that is because he wasn't. I don't condone his previous behavior at all, but I think no new incidents, his team saying he's changed, his coach saying he has changed, and his fiance saying he's changed should count for something.

*edit: No one has responded yet, but I want to clarify my point of view, and I'm not trying to start an argument.

From what has been reported, Ben was overly sexual aggressive with more than one girl, and acted like a rich frat boy, which he basically is. I can't stand that behavior from anyone. Even chicks who act that way just come off as desperate and entitled. As far as I know, he has never been convicted of rape, which is a different topic.

When the issue was brought to the table, Ben fessed, apologized, did countless interviews that were not mandatory.

Then we have Vick. A murderer, a scam artist, a crook, a thief, a liar, and an admitted drug user and former gang member (although I doubt he ever had to be initiated). Never did he confess to his superiors, rather he bold faced lied to everyone countless times. Time after time he denied everything, even the fucking acknowledgment of his wrong doing to the CEO of one of the biggest franchises on planet Earth. The guy is 100% douche bag, will never be a man in my eyes, and don't think for a second he goes back to a mansion everyday, smokes blunts and laughs at everyone knowing that he has bullshitted his way back into America's arms by playing with a fucking ball.

Even ESPN drank the Kool-Aid by saying he has redeemed himself. How? How does playing with a fucking ball redeem all his checkered past? It doesn't. Plain and simple.

What has Big Ben actually done to redeem himself? Get a fiance? Please!!! I'm not really siding with Vick either, I just think it's hypocritical to Rip one person and side with another..

It's pretty obvious he was in the wrong one way or another, this has happened 3 times.. I'm sorry but when you have multiple offenses something is up.. And a lot of NFL players never get charged for it, because if you are basically one of the faces of the league, you will get the benefit of the doubt.. All it has to turn into is a "he said, she said" scenario.. BTW his coached and teammates said he's changed? You think Andy Reid and the Philly teammates didn't say the same thing? Come on man, you can't be this naive, of course they are going to say that.. Both teams are winning because of said players, so why wouldn't they speak positively of them.. And prior to this, both were considered egotistical selfish players, Big Ben had the motorcycle incedent, and Terry Bradshaw went on record with saying the guy was an asshole right before Ben was accused of his third rape..

How do you know this is what he's doing? Do you know him personally? Seems like you just have a vendetta against the guy.. I'm not saying he truly has turned it around, but what makes you judge ad jury to decided he actually hasn't.. Personally I think both Big Ben and Mike Vick are scumbags..

Again how do you know Big Ben has redeemed himself? I was actually one of his biggest fans prior to the accusations..

Jeez. The sentence by sentence thing? Ugh.

Well, I never said Ben has redeemed himself, I said he was trying.

But, I do know he has made a strong effort to change his life for the better, because I have facts. (and ben hasn't been charged with rape three times).

As you mentioned, others have mentioned he's a jerk (and don't cite Terry Bradshaw as a reputable source. Terry doesn't have much going on upstairs, and he's also jealous as Ben has passed him as a better Steelers QB). But more importantly, his teammates called him out for being somewhat of a douche. Hines Ward, Randel El , and Santonio Holmes all have spoken out about his on and off field behavior. Ward, who I trust the most, still had ill comments on Ben at the beginning of this year.

Fact: Ward, and his teammates, have been very vocal about how Ben is now"one of the guys". Ward used to rip Ben, but now he and his team have mentioned that he's a different person, and these comments were made before the playoffs. "He's changed on and off the field" is another comment from Ward.

I believe Ward, I really do. Personally, the only player on the Steelers I don't like is Ben, but I believe he's putting effort into changing. I don't see that from Vick.

And instead of providing me with one thing Vick has done to redeem himself, you take my post apart piece by piece for some reason.

Again, provide me with one thing Vick has done to redeem himself.

If Roethlisberger was black, he'd be more hated then Vick and probably out of the league and/or in prison.

Just because of his skin color? Super-highly doubtful.

I doubt it. No one is going to throw a 2 time winning super bowl champion out of the league if the guy can still play. Ron Artest attacked fans in the stands during a game, no biggie for him. Arenas brought guns to work. Slap on the wrist.

I never said charged, I said accused.. Although maybe I loosely used charged in my previous posts, I didn't mean it..

His coach and teammates said he has been humbled, so does most of the media although I think it's as BS as Ben's teammate commenting on how he's been a changed man when the simple fact is that on the field they are having huge success.. You really haven't given me actual facts, just opinions of his coach and teammates.. Unless you actually hang around the guy 24/7 you really have no clue what type of person he is behind closed doors..

And Megget, and L Taylor... Oh wait. They didn't get caught when they could still play.
