   Good thing when I went looking for Sonic 3 I couldn't find it and instead I bought Sonic 2. I would have been so disappointed a kid. Then again I did get stuck on the casino night springs for 2 days as well, until I found out how to activate the springs by accident.

I do not remember having issues with it myself. I think I must have lost some lives on the boss because it is unconventional and I was trying too hard to hit instead of trying harder just to keep up.

For those of you who have seemed to conquer Labyrinth Zone with no problem (GSZX1337 and Ivo) I drew you a picture of a unicorn for your accomplishment.

I cant say I had no trouble with Labyrinth Zone, but it certainly wasn't that troublesome for me. That said, I got sonic 1 a few years after I got sonic 2, so I'd already experienced the water stuff in aquatic ruin zone, and beaten some of the harder zones in sonic 2. Perhaps if I hadn't played sonic 2 so much before hand, labyrinth would've been a real sticking point with me.

Either way, I still don't find Labyrinth as bad as Scrap Brain. On the other hand, Scrap Brain is kinda fun-hard and not oh-god-I-have-to-walk-slowly-through-this-huge-section-again hard.

I think this is one of the main problems I have. During the first act I lose interest because it is sooo slow.

Aquatic Ruin Zone is the best water level in a 2D platformer there ever was. You basically only spend part of the stages in the water, and escape is always much easier than in the Sonic 1 and & 3 water zones.

I disagree whole heartedly. No sonic water level is a good sonic water level, they all suck.

Personally, I'd have to say that for water levels in 2d platformers, I always prefer being able to swim. The Donkey Kong Country games probably have the best water levels in 2D platformers if you ask me.

That said, swimming mechanics were always more satisfying in 3D platformers to me.

When I played Disney's Pocahontas she could swim. I remember thinking it was really cool. It was not an entire level though.

For one, that little enemy that's essentially a floating ball that hurl spikey balls at you...Hold down on the d-pad and duck. Yup. It is that easy. Just make sure you don't stand back upright until all the spikey balls have passed.

Also avoid any falls, as they usually lead to spiked floors, and regardless if you have 100 rings, you'll probably die. Drowning shouldn't be a problem as long as you stop once in a few seconds to grab a bubble.

You can fly through the level, you just have to be familiar with it. You may be frustrated now, but after a few more times you'll laugh at the fact that at one point you found this level difficult. Get back to us when you reach the scrap brain zone.
