My interest in this game just went up considerably. I need to get Black Ops for Zork and New Vegas for the Python references.
Yeah, in New Vegas you can get "holy frag grenades" which has a sign next to them that says "holy frag grenades: pull pin a count to 5" (but the 5 is crossed out and a 3 is written next to it)

Trax for Gameboy

Total for 2011: 1
Total for 2010: 36

Trying to beat last year's total.

I'm going to try my hand at this completion thing.

Games Finished 2011
  • Call of Duty: Black Ops - 360 *new*
Sonic and Knuckles - XBLA *new*
Total: 2

I played through the single player mode in Black Ops yesterday, and I have to say I really enjoyed it overall. It wasn't the best game I've ever played, but it had enough "holy shit" moments to keep me interested. I haven't touched the multiplayer yet, but my friends play all of the time and I'm sure I'll be joining them soon now that I've finished the campaign.

I also finished off Sonic and Knuckles tonight, and I had a lot of fun with that as well. I'd have to say its my least favorite of the main series games, mostly due to the frustration factor. There were so many cheap death traps in this one, and it kind of worked against the whole speed theme that's associated with the Sonic games. Metal Sonic was a cool boss though! I'm definitely excited to play through Sonic CD next!

Strike two off "The List"! I'm thinking I'll start Fable III or Fallout: New Vegas next, but I'm not 100% sure just yet. I'll supplement either game with something like Braid or Dishwasher to keep me from getting bored with just one game. :)

The List
  • Final Fantasy XIII - 360
    Pier Solar - Genesis
    Zaku - Lynx
    Fallout: New Vegas - 360
    Fable III - 360
New Super Mario Bros. - Wii
    Super Princess Peach - DS
Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story - DS
Donkey Kong Country Returns - Wii
    Legend of Wukong - Genesis
    Beggar Prince - Genesis
Breath of Death VII - XNA
Cthulu Saves the World - XNA
Dishwasher: The Dead Samurai - XBLA
Sonic and Knuckles - XBLA BEAT!
    Sonic CD - Sega CD
    Super Mario Bros. - NES
    Panzer Dragoon - Saturn
    Panzer Dragoon Zwei - Saturn
    Panzer Dragoon Saga - Saturn
    Panzer Dragoon Orta - Xbox
    Guardian Heroes - Saturn
    Earthbound - SNES
    Splatterhouse - TG-16
    Braid - XBLA
Call of Duty: Black Ops - 360 BEAT!

The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening DX GBC

One of those games I'd first played years ago but never got around to finishing. Great game, very satisfying experience for sure. I could go one but there's not a lot I could say about this that every one of you hasn't heard before!

I don't have any real goals in mind other than simply beating more games.
