Re: Truly Scary Movies?

My dad introduced me to horror movies when I was two and made sure to tell me that everything was fake when he did, so I grew up finding them more amusing than scary. But, I'm gonna agree with the original Nightmare on Elm Street. Freakin Freddy visited my dreams for a week after I watched that. Serves me right for seeing something like that at 8  Even though I find it more humorous now than scary, there are still a few scenes that still creep me out whenever I watch it.

And after watching so many scary movies at such a young age I've been horribly desensitized, so finding anything today that actually scares me, even a little, is a rare treat. So I'm gonna say Drag me to Hell. While most of the humor kind of killed the scary factor, there was that one scene when she's in her house and you see the shadows slowly moving across the room before she'd flung into a wall that just creeped the hell out of me.

And was it Poltergeist 2 or 3 that was all about mirrors?

Haven't seen them in a while, but I'm pretty sure it's 3. That's the one set in the office building. The second one was set in grandma's house and had the evil worm in the tequila bottle. (Which, by the way, was the only part of that movie that really bothered me.)
