@Anthony817 Well excuse me for having an opinion that differs from yours!
This is a message board where we discuss and sometimes debate on things pertaining to video games. And people aren't always going to share your same viewpoints on things. So please understand that!
I do think this is good news for DC owners. And I do think that the screenshots look nice (but so did Dux at one point). But all I've honestly questioned here is its method of release. Indie games like this would normally go for what - $1 to $5 on XBLA? So it seems a bit like.. "Hey, why don't we release the game only on Dreamcast so we can 'keep that system alive' and at the same time charge everyone out the ass ($46) for a limited edition retail disc?"
..and as for people trying to call me out and say things like, I'm not "a real retro gamer" for not agreeing with this being a Dreamcast 2011 exclusive or simply "seeing the beauty of a new DC release, in general" Just because I don't always agree with the government doesn't mean that I'm not still patriotic and love my country.
"Welcome to the circus of values!"
Currently Playing: Crysis (360), Destiny demo (PS3), Roadblasters (MAME)

Well, I'll admit I was a bit too drunk when I typed the message, so, forgive me if I sounded like an ass, it was just mind-boggling that you wouldn't see the logic behind it being released in this day. Sorry, I am normaly not such an angry person, I just went overboard defending retro games lol.
I kinda hope the PS2 starts getting indie releases in a few years, much like the DC is getting now. They could put out some really cool niche games that would normally never survive in todays FPS cookie cutter world. Personally I'd like to see some cool old school 2D or 2.5 action, action RPG and platformers appear on the PS2 or DC from all these small developers.

I don't know how feasible that is. Dreamcast is pretty easy to program small scale games for because it is based on Windows CE. I don't know if the PS2 architecture is as friendly.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

that's part of DC and GBA's popularity amongst developers. GBA is based on C for instance.

Perhaps you need to go outside and breathe in some fresh air.
The fact that this game is being released on a Dreamcast ensures that i will buy it. If it was on Xbox live arcade I wouldn't ever think about spending the money to buy it. An opinion is ok if you don't press it on someone else. I think the idea of a brand new dreamcast game is great. I don't want to hear some other guy saying that it is stupid. If you don't feel like spending money on it, then don't buy it. I love games released after a console is considered dead.

The thing about the DC that makes it easy to do, is that sega abandoned it, thus creating a small market for indie game producers to creat games for it without having to pay for a liscence from sega, and they don't have to produce them on expencive and rare GDroms, as the DC is fully capabal of playing games on regular cdr's.
Plus the DC is a very open system, and easy to develop for, even without a DC devbox, one can create games on just a regular Dreamcast without much other than a coders cable and kalistOS.
