Fuck Ninja Gaiden again.
I always liked the Ninja Gaiden series as a whole. I agree with you in some respects regarding part 1 & 2 for the 360, PS3. You can't hide a sloppy camera with blood & gore no matter how hard you try. The unruly camera lead to my demise a few times.
Though the action is top notch. The enemy AI is smart as hell and the moves at your disposal are better than most fighting games. Its not like you can just level up to pass the level, you actually have to practice, know the AI and know how to best execute the moves and weapons at your disposal. Having to play Rachael in the PS3 version definitely sucks though, hence why I like the original Xbox version best. I don't know why they felt the need to shoehorn her in there.
The original NES games are pure 8 bit genius. The movie scenes were awesome to watch when I was a kid and today. There was nothing like it for the NES back then. I loved that the NES games are all about reflex and memorization especially part 1 & 3. I've always been a sucker for that tough as nails, 8 bit white knuckled action. I've beaten all 3 NES games and I'll say its a true feeling of accomplishment beating them, especially part 3. I've kinda always thought as them as shmups on foot.
