So how did you convert her?

I just stopped trying.

Eventually she just started mentioning games she'd want to try, probably so she could find a way to share my interest. So first she thought Guitar Hero looked fun. Then she remembered enjoying SMB, Tetris and Dr. Mario when she was younger. After that she noticed Dr. Layton from one of my Game Informers lying around and thought she'd like that. After that she thought some of the casual Wii games would be fun. Once we got one she realized that light gun games rule.

So basically, it's just sort of naturally snowballed as she gradually decided to try new games on her own. I found that pushing them on her never worked, so I stopped doing that. I'm fine with her liking whatever she wants to like. And I'm thrilled when she does find a game we can enjoy together.

man I wish my GF was good at Raiden 2 but she is good at Tetris Attack and Nazi Zombies. And she loves video games but mostly newer titles (stupid Sims 3 and Fallout: New Vegas) but lately I have been making her play some Super Famicom with me and she hates it.
I still love her though..

These are both games my girlfriend likes too. You can throw in Fable, Lego Indiana Jones, Left 4 Dead and Arkham Asylum too. She also enjoys mario kart, harvest moon, Phoenix wright, tetris and pokemon trozei.

I have no idea what games to recommend to her, because they vary so much. I suggested mass effect because she enjoyed fallout, and she doesnt really like it. :S Then she went and bought castle crashers and scott pilgrim, despite the headache I had convincing her to play streets of rage 2 with me XD
