I think my biggest issue with the game is how the person who wrote it apparently wants me to like a female character who has absolutely no morals. At least with Kratos in the God of War series, he doesn't hide the fact that he is an asshole. Trip from Enslaved tries to act all sweet and innocent to make us forget the fact that she essentially tries to force every single person she interacts with to do what she wants....or she kills you. The ending proves this, so does the fact that Monkey dies via the kill switch in his head band anytime he gets too far away from Trip or she happens to die herself
I just find it unusual that people who love the game just seem completely blind to the fact that she is a psycho. I certainly wouldn't want to know a woman like her. I find her quite disturbing.

i'm enjoying the game. i'm at chapter 3 now, and although i am enjoying it, i hope the scenery changes soon. I'm growing tired of seeing post-apocalyptic NYC now. can i expect different enemies too besides mechs?
Re: Enslaved...
I feel the same way. The acting in that was even better than in Enslaved. Trip and Monkey's relationship does grow a bit tiresome because she keeps doing things out of the character I expect her to be. I would definitely not call it game of the year. There were a lot of glitches and technical problems in the game. None were game breaking, but enough to consistently remind me that I was playing an unpolished game. The platforming was very dissapointing. It was just linear paths with you pushing a button to proceed between the points. There was no skill or risk involved in trying to make it between these points because the game shoved you into the next closest spot with a poor animation.brunoafh wrote:....YOU!!Phades wrote:I loved it, one of my favorites from last year. I don't understand how you guys enjoyed this game so much (or at all for that matter). GOTY mentions? Best acting ever in a game? I mean... I dunno. I should stay out of here. I think NT is one of the worst developers around, and all their games are pretty much unplayable to me.
I did enjoy the game though. Just nowhere near enough to consider it game of the year. Heavenly Sword had me excited for them to be making the new Devil May Cry game, but Enslaved has me worried. Good storytelling does not equal an awesome Devil May Cry game.

Re: Enslaved...
I really enjoyed Heavenly Sword but I can't stand this game. My friend is absolutely in love with it though. I just don't get it.
Older. Not wiser.

The enemies don't change a whole lot, neither does the scenery.alexis524 wrote:i'm enjoying the game. i'm at chapter 3 now, and although i am enjoying it, i hope the scenery changes soon. I'm growing tired of seeing post-apocalyptic NYC now. can i expect different enemies too besides mechs?

Re: Enslaved...
Another game off my backlog! Beat it tonight...I was actually surprised it was over when it was over, i was expecting another chapter i guess. Overall i would give it a 7.5 out of 10. It wasn't to bad. But like i mentioned before i feel its very unpolished. A minor thing, when the credits are rolling and they are playing music at the end. usually its set up to end the song with the end of the credits. Well here, the credits are rolling and the music is going and than it just stops and loads the title screen, one nano second after the credits are done. Good lord... someone in a hurry to get the game out or something?

Meh, whatever, Gamerforlife is completely opposite of me in his opinion of Heavenly Sword, Enslaved, DmC, and Ninja Theory in general. They're a great company and did a great job with DmC.Riqz85 wrote:And two years later: http://www.metacritic.com/game/playstat ... il-may-cryGamerforlife wrote: This development team really has a ways to go. still have to play DmC but it's on my list when it drops in price. I love NT and can't wait to play DmC. I guess we all have our opinions

But the game is far better in Spanish when Dante has a mustache:Stark wrote:Meh, whatever, Gamerforlife is completely opposite of me in his opinion of Heavenly Sword, Enslaved, DmC, and Ninja Theory in general.
