Power Quest for the Game Boy Color is a good RPG Fighter. You get RC Robots which you can upgrade to fight with. It's pretty cool!

This. This is exactly the reason I am leery to play any game online unless it's with people I know. Which sucks because very, very few of my pals play video games at all, much less online. It's like online gaming kicked the internet tough guy syndrome into severe hyperdrive or something.

Sorry for the derailment. As for the topic, wouldn't Marvel Ultimate Alliance count?

I love Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2. It's a great game. The first one is so-so, but definitely worth playing if you're a fan of the source material.

How about Taito's Dungeon Magic (which is in Taito Legends 2 on PS2)?

Virtua Quest (PS2, GameCube - 2004). Virtua Fighter spin-off. I have never played it and I strongly suspect that it is terrible but it fits the bill.

Oh shit, this reminds me! Did anybody play Ehrgeiz?

Hate all you want, it was a multi-directional fighter (Think Power Stone with less insanity) that did have a single-player dungeon crawler mode. Definitely fits the bill.

Good call, Ehrgeiz didn't even come to mind. I think it's a decent game, at least. Certainly not as bad as it's reputation.

Heck yeah Ehrgeiz was pretty fun. Both modes were a lot of fun.
