What was the longest time you played a game in one session?

Rocket Arena for Quake 3...12 hours straight. I felt like ass for almost a week afterwards.

after shenmue for 12 or more hours me and a friend of mine were not so terribly tired - quake can be hard work if you know what i mean

I honestly cant play a game for an extended time.
I spent an all-nighter playing Final Fantasy Tactics, about 7-8 hours.

Probably 4 hours playing FFIV back in the day.

probably about 8 hours playing Sonic Adventure 2. Around the same amount of time playing the first Sonic Adventure, I rented the dreamcast from hollywood video before it came out and it didn't come with a vmu.

Longest multiple gaming would be back doing LAN parties years ago. I think I was up 36 hours once, about 30 of those were spent gaming before passing the hell out. On one game, that would either be my 10 1/2 hour single game of Extend Every Extra Extreme a few months ago or playing straight through Zombie Island of Dr Ned for what was probably a similar time recently.

15 hours on Halo 3 the day it came out beating it on normal and then Legendary. Then the next day four of us hooked up online and spent 5 hours trying to get the vidmaster achievement for the last level. One of the guys really sucked at driving a Ghost.

When WoW first came out I headed to a friends house to check it out. When he finally let me play I ended up playing it for 11 hours straight and we both missed school that day.

Sadly I have gone of many several hour stretches playing WoW but that really isn't that uncommon. I think the most I have done in one sitting is around 12 hours and that was pretty much always when playing with my friends.

I also grinded a Wintersaber mount years ago before they made the mount easier to get. I think it took me about three months or so to get but to be honest I usually did this grind after I got back from the bar so I was usually drunk and I don't remember the majority of it.

Probably the time my friend and I started a game of Shining Force II for the Genesis. We played from the beginning all the way to Creed's mansion. I'm not sure how long that is as far as hours go, but anyone who has played the game knows we were over half way through the adventure before we put the controller down.

16 hours on Diddy Kong Racing. Cousins were over. It was amazing.
