I'd be down for Dreamcast especially if any fighting games were played, JoJo's, MvC, MvC2, SF3, CvS2, and it would give me a reason to learn Garou if it was there.

Yeah, I think we would probably just set up a dedicated Dreamcast for fighting games during the entire meet.

And welcome to the forums!

And now Dreamcast takes the lead! 5 to 4 to 1.

I looked up some footage of Virtual On. It reminds me of the Mobile Suit Gundam vs Gundam N.E.X.T. setup at Arcade UFO. They have four machines: 2 versus 2. Do you play? I've tried playing but the instructions are in Japanese and I feel like I'm missing some of the moves/strategy. I couldn't find a good online tutorial/guide in English for this arcade game.

Wha-wha-WHAT!? There is a Gundam VS machine in my vicinity and I didn't sense it!?

Change the title of this thread to: Meet Flake at UFO; Bring quarters!
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

They are very similar. I've played the Gundam game and it doesn't feel as fast. I also like the twin stick design of the Virtual On controls better. I wish I could find a cab locally.

I need to get down to UFO and try Gundam some more.

The Gundam VS machines were purchased with Arcade UFO's winnings from the $25,000 "Save The Arcades" contest. At the time (Nov. 2009), this was the only operational Gundam vs Gundam N.E.X.T. in the entire United States. That may still be true.

I don't have much to compare it to, but yes, my initial reaction was that I wished the gameplay was faster and more fluid.

I attached pics of the actual machines at Arcade UFO. I've witnessed some pretty intense 2 versus 2 action on these machines. Even the SF4 players were turning around, wondering what all the commotion was about.

I've got to get to UFO. I have been playing this series on arcade / console / handheld for the better part of a decade. Best arcade series ever.

Yep, I'm all for it. What about Sharky and friends? Would they be interested? That would be a way to pick up enough people to ensure a full 4.
