They both = activsion however are different from each other. Buick = GM
Cadillac = GM. Buick does not equal Cadillac. They are kept separate from each other. and do not jointly operate.(Like the do with GM)

Hate to break it to you, but Treyarch = Activision and Activision = Treyarch are the same thing. I believe your algebra is a little rusty.

That wouldn't be algebra, that would be math. I used equals to as an example. Its more complex than that.
Activision owns treyarch, thus treyarch = activision. Treyarch doesn't own activision, thus Activision does not = treyarch.

Algebra is A squared + b squared = C squared (a certain type of triangle...)

Honestly, I'm starting to think you're being purposely obtuse now. Algebra is the branch of mathematics concerning the study of the rules of operations and relations, and the constructions and concepts arising from them, including terms, polynomials, equations and algebraic structures.

My point is that it's a bad example. Treyarch does not equal Activision. That they are the owned by a company equates them to that company is like saying that because I own a toaster that my toaster = me. I can change the usage of the toaster - I could use it to cook fish instead of toast - but until I take that toaster apart and turn it into something else, it's still a toaster. Unless you can provide evidence that Treyarch was dismantled by Activision and turned into something else, the only logical conclusion to come to is that Treyarch = Treyarch.

I'm not entirely sure what you meant by your first sentence. Did I ever posit that algebra isn't math? Secondly algebra != math. Algebra is a branch of mathematics, but it is not mathematics itself, as it is only a subset of mathematics. Only informally could you call algebra equal to math.

Thirdly, you're moving along! You finally change your position that Treyarch = Activision to Treyarch is like Activision. I still wouldn't agree (what proof do you have that they're structurally similar?), but you're getting closer.
