played itJohnBaxterly wrote:If this doesn't at least make you feel sad, you either have never played the game or are made of stone. Truly one of the best voice acting moments in a video game.
didn't feel a thing
and if you think that's good voice acting
then you've obviously never heard Impossible Mission
stay a while...

In a similar vein to the Ninja's death in MGS, Emma's death in MGS2 with Otacon crying over her body and the parrot saying "I love you Hal"

Wait the Virtual Boy being made and the creator of the Gameboy dieing is touching/moving to you in video games? His life is moving not his death.emwearz wrote:Do we need another one of these topics, its pretty much the same as this.

Re: Moving game moments
Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic Spoilers
For me, I was an evil dark jedi. I tried to be the nice guy, but after the big revelation of who and what my character was, I accepted it and went with it! In the last mission, you can kill off several party members, corrupt the others, and then, oh my god and then, you get an ending I will never stop talking about.
You walk out on a platform, there are red flags out, and tons of guys salute you as their new dictator. You become the leader of a bunch of space nazis! That always gave me a really good feeling. That's when I became a true Bioware fan.
I had intentions of playing as the good guys, but that ending was so intense for me that I never could imagine that character or any other created for the game as being anything other than that final image.
I'll go the opposite,Gamerforlife wrote: Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic-If you play as a good character, you could turn this one Sith woman to the light side after lots of talks with her and then sparing her life later on when she betrays you. Re: Moving game moments
Merged because I don't see a difference between moving game moments and saddest game moments. If you are moved by something then it's affected you on a deep level. I felt that saddest gaming moments fit under this banner as well. After all, if you feel sad about something, has it not moved you on some level? Seems a no brainer to me.

I actually never have, but that opening line is... indescribably disturbing.Lord_Santa wrote:then you've obviously never heard Impossible Mission
I should rephrase my last post; I didn't really mean that the voice acting was great, but that the lines themselves were great. I'll go edit mah post now.

Re: Moving game moments
Most of you people who posted in "saddest" moments in gaming might as well edit your post cause now this is "moving" moments.
Unless you are a sadist uncaring person; Virtual boy being made, Sega Saturn being discontinued,Yokoi Gunpei dying disgraced, Shenmue story not continuing, and getting a 32x for christmas (unless you actually liked the 32X) ARE NOT MOVING MOMENTS
Niode please explain how these are moving moments since you merged. Or change the title to include both saddest and moving.
