If we do this at the north location it probably means systems and TVs will be outdoors on a table. If you're bringing consoles/games, will you be OK with this?

Booze:
I'm not much of a drinker anymore. That's not to say I won't have a couple of shots and a Guinness, but don't rely on me to find a bar or venue for alcohol. ;)
I think I'd actually prefer the outdoor venue. The Museum sounds nice...but it also sounds like there'd be more breakables/liability and less space.

Ah Guinness. The original 'liquid meal'.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

I'm too far away, but...

If y'all want to sit outside in the sun in August in Texas you are crazy. I used to live in the D/FW area, and August and September are hell. Central air FTW.

...the man has a terribly valid point that I think may alter my previous inclination.

Good point. The north store is next to a large overhang that would give us plenty of shade, but it won't do much good in the Texas heat.

I will ask if it will be possible to set up systems and things in the museum. Everything is currently in glass cases anyway, so it isn't like something might get knocked over.

Just saw this. I would be down to drive to Austin for this. I'm relatively new here but I would be excited to meet everyone.

I live in Dallas, so Austin isn't that far of a drive for me.

Left a VM with Game Over and waiting for their call back.

Any ideas on a specific date? A lot of this will depend exactly when in August onemanfilmcrew will arrive and be somewhat settled in.

So far here is my list of questions for Game Over:

Can we set up own TVs and game systems?

Food/Beverages?

Time limit - what hours - when to back up - best days to hold?

How far in advance do we need to notify?
