Do you also call a Super Nintendo a Super Famicom, a Master System a Mark III, a Turbo Grafx16 a Pc-engine, a NES a Famicom, and a whatever, whatever it's called in somewhere else.
Yep. I also use the Japanese titles when referring to games. To my defense though, I buy and play the Japanese versions so that's what I'm used to seeing.

The Ethicist
Holds divine understanding of all things and knows invariably what's best for everyone and the world. They never miss an opportunity to uphold the ultimate justice or fairness of all things and are swift to chastise the ignorant. Their word is absolute and undeniably backed by flawless logic and comprehension of all things.
(^_^)/ Nice. This describes me really well. It's almost like you had me in mind when writing it. But you left out the part about being open minded and always seeking the truth.
I encountered one the other day:
Internet tough-guy aspie bent on beating everyone to death with his e-penis of far-superior knowledge in the name of e-justice. See if you can pick him out (warning - tl;dr)

How about a game only released on the amercian version? Would you still call it a game for the Japanese name?

@ the mega drive thing. What the fuck is wrong with calling a Mega Drive a Mega Drive? That's what they are called... It's the yanks that had to be different, you're the only country that calls it a Genesis.
I agree. Mega Drive, Mega CD and Super 32X.
I call it the name stamped on the system. When my eyes stare at the black consle that says really big SEGA GENESIS, i will call it a sega genesis. Then, as i look online to buy a game, and the screen print in the corner or on the side of the game says "Genesis", then genesis it will be called. But for next gen consoles, i have to refer to them as the pstriple and the xboxcircle for Chad warden be ballin.

In that case, I would use the American console name.

Worry not, I know many people like this. Your problem is that you actually seek truth, whereas the ethicist needn't seek truth because they have a clear and absolute knowledge of all things.
