Deus Ex: Invisible War?
Good God, that was an atrocity. A castration of Deus Ex - they took my favorite First-Person Adventure and turned it into Baby's First Shooter.
Which was the game you wanted to like the most but didn't?

You know what? I don't like Mario or Sonic either. So there.GSZX1337 wrote:You sir, are a terrible, terrible human being.Hobie-wan wrote: Oh yeah. I didn't like the first Deus Ex either. That's another game I started 5 times and kept giving up because I didn't like it.

Hm, I'll have to go with Psychonauts and Okami.
And as for major franchises, I really don't think I like Zelda and Metal Gear quite enough as I should.

Yeah, pretty much every Zelda after A Link To The Past, I couldn't even force myself to play through. Not because they went 3D or anything, but after A Link To The Past, I realized something - they're all the same. They're all the exact same game.
Well, except for Zelda II, but everybody hated Zelda II - mainly because it was different from Zelda I.

Out of my collection, some that I've never been able to get into are:
Metroid Prime - boring
Okami - boring, too long
Viewtiful Joe
Street Fighter II - nice graphics, nice music, iconic characters, I'm just bad at it
Madworld - repetitive, cool music and commentary though. pal version is gimped
Zelda Four Swords - not much fun on your own
1080 Snowboarding - I can't get my head round the controls
Super Mario RPG - I think me + Square just doesn't go as I like Paper Mario games

I've never liked a Zelda game, as hard as I tried. I just can't get into them.
I was also really really disappointed in Uncharted. It came with my ps3 when I bought it a few months back. I thought I'd love it, but I was really bored playing it. Mostly because there were so many cutscenes and the hero was such a douchebag. I've never met anyone who felt the same way about it though.

Well, I actually know quite a few people who think Nathan Drake is a douchebag... I just don't see it. The original Uncharted wasn't excellent, but I still enjoyed it - mainly because of the characters.sputnik wrote:I've never liked a Zelda game, as hard as I tried. I just can't get into them.

Wow, this was surprisingly cathartic to know that other people think Zelda's overrated.
Hm, what is it that I dislike about Metal Gear? It's always the same game, and it takes itself way too seriously.

I played the gameboy zelda link's awakening which I thought was pretty good. But the other zelda games I just view as similar and I always had a thing against 2d becoming 3d (eg.mario, sonic).
