I almost forgot to mention, we have to try getting Majors and the Wedoca crew to come down to RacketCon if they're up for it and we do it in a southeastern location.

I second all of these and will try to help out by finding a ton of Gamecube Mario Karts + BBA's for 16 player simultaneous individual screens, or a ton of ilink cables for the PS2 and an ilink hub for big Time Crisis setups or Gran Turismo 3 cockpit mode/6-screen simultaneous multiplayer.

Sounds like NC but my vote is for Chicago. Racket - shouldn't you have sway!?

I'm definitely on board! As long as the flight and hotel costs aren't insane, that is...
I get like two weeks of vacation time from work next year, so I can use it whenever needed. I'm seriously hyped for this!

I'm pretty flexible -- so I'd like to be more accommodating to those that will be organizing it.
As long as it's in an interesting city and I get to have some fun with some retrogamers, I'm all good

Sounds like poll time!
Luke, we're gonna need you to go ahead and give us some choices from the most common locations mentioned and to top it off we'll need to find a way to get that spinner from MadMax: Beyond Thunderdome and slap a 'Racket's Choice' icon on it if the polls come out undecided.
For those who don't get the joke:
The rules of Thunderdome, as chanted by onlookers crowding the arena, are simple and singular—"two men enter, one man leaves." After a difficult match, Max defeats Blaster, but refuses to kill him when he discovers that Blaster is a man with the mind of a child. An enraged Aunty has Blaster executed and invokes the law since Max broke his deal with her. The wheel turns out to be a large, spinning metal disc (similar to a Wheel of Fortune) with an arrow pointing to one of several consequences. Possible consequences include Death, Hard Labour, Acquittal, Gulag, Aunty's Choice, Spin Again, Forfeit Goods, Underworld, Amputation, and Life Imprisonment.

Great idea, with the lead time it makes it much easier to plan to go.
My votes are for summer months, Atlanta or Chicago.

I'll cast my support for a NC con too. Concord, NC also has some convention halls as well. Not sure about room rates though. I'll look into it more myself.

Lots of votes for NC.
Downtown Raleigh would be great, lots to do, decent food, convenient location.
