The snowball fight is clever in terms of the story, but for me and I guess for players which are not completely new to gaming (I don't even say new to the genre, I think anyone familiar with generic gaming conventions) I think the tutorial is drawn out (and not skippable IIRC).

True, but the same could be said for FFT, where you only have control of Ramza/hero, and there are nine NPCs which takes some time before your turn!
