Using a Computer With a TV as a ROMANATOR

I would be interested in contributing to this project in anyway that I can. It seems like something that would be very useful for me and fills a gap that desperately needs to be filled. Especially for use in MAME cabs. I want to make my MAME cab linux, but finding front ends that are actually nice to use for windows is hard enough let alone for linux.

Well I am in the midst of several projects right now (got a couple games I'm working on for different stuff). But I am always spending a part of my day invistigating under the hood of Linux (it's been my main OS for a little over a year now, so I try to get more intimate with it... been using it for years, but it's only the recent year that it has been my OS of choice).

I'm thinking I'm going to download the source of XBMC and sift through it, see what's under the hood of that (it's a good place to start for a lot of support features, a gui, and media). Maybe if other people show up with specific skills over the next months and can give some direction to it I'll dig in deeper...

I am fully aware Boxee is not a type of linux. But there are several groups that are creating Boxee distros - simply lightweight linux that boots directly into boxee. The one I was looking at a couple days ago was built on xbuntu. I however was completely unaware that it is mixed sourced.
