this is another example i think of a better paint job than that one looks like they used "hammered style paint". this saturn i found at play n' trade and who ever painted it i think did a better job than that dreamcast just look:

I've been meaning to ask, are you just being really thick, or are you being sarcastic? There is no way that paint job can be considered good.

Even though I know much about painting or paint jobs, I will try my damnedest to explain why your paint job is not a good one.
First I am not trying to put you down or insult you, I am simply pointing out why your paint job is not a good one.

Your paint is (very obviously) not even. One can find spots where you have too much paint.
Did you paint over the sticker? If you didn't, put the sticker back.
Judging by the lumpiness of your Dreamcast, I'm guessing that you didn't clean your Dreamcast prior to painting, either.
...*looks closer*
Did you paint over the LED?
Now, I know that only the disc lid and ports were painted, but I didn't feel like looking very far for a good paint job.

The paint is smooth and even and not lumpy at all and the sticker was taken off before painting. This is just a guess (picture is a little too low-res for me to tell) but it looks like the Dreamcast had the glue gunk from the sticker cleaned off as well.

thank you for wasting your time typing all of that. Beauty is in the eye of the DCholder. I thing it looks great and so do my friends. Thank you, and Good Day.

Hell, ignoring the aesthetics you just did a bad technical job on painting the Dreamcast. As mentioned, the coat went on lumpy.

The fact that it looks like a bloated mess comes to mind.

Look, I agree with you that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but we're simply trying to give you some advice for any future paint job you may attempt. i.e.-Using Spray Paint instead of Acrylic, lightly sanding the area to prevent lumpy paint clots, and preserving the original logos from being painted over.

Trust me almost everyone screws up their first paint job, but these tips help keep you from making similar potential mistakes later on.

It wouldn't be wasted if you'd take your head out of your ass and take the advice given to you.

You should care, this paint job shows that you have terrible work ethic.

This Dreamcast has been painted to look like a freaking PS2!

On the opposite end of the spectrum:

This Dreamcast has been modified with great attention to detail and is a shining example of a good mod.

This is horrible!! A DC fan would never dare do this, they would paint their ps2 and xbox white!!
