Sort of survivor-esque, but entertaining. I would fully accept the possibility of myself being voted off just to see the whole thing unfold--plus it adds incentive to make high quality posts, not just avoid creating bad ones.
lol -- the suspense!
Of course I'd be the first to go.

No way... It like on all of those shows, the person who is the villain (or just jerk) is always there at the end. They usually dont win, but they stay on the show and make it entertaining

Unless Moz is the one creating the nominee list!

Although I suspect he'd put himself on there as a goof and get voted off.

I support the initiative for a crap-free RB forum. I like some kind of idea of minimum replies or counts. I'm only an active member at one other gaming forum, which does have these kinds of rules. It works pretty well. I had to lurk, then get to a reply count before being a full member. But that also turns off new members and the coolest thing about RB is the openness. So, I have no real answer.

In the meantime, I will do my part by attempting to post higher-quality topics. It's funny, I hardly even go into the BST threads...

Mozgus may come off as a jerk sometimes but he adds a certain element to the forums. And once and a while he posts a intelligent arguement, comment or subject. I can think of lots of people I'd vote off before him.

In my honest opinion we need to delete forum posts that dont recieve a reply within lets say 48 hours. That would limit discutions to things people actually care about. Another good thing I would recommend is restrict each forum to 10 pages max, deleting the backlog. I agree so far with just about everything said in favor of limiting the BST area.

Deleting backlog is bad.
I look up old stuff all the time. Good for people coming in from Google as well.

cool that you are working on it but its not that bad here! I've seen so much worse boards, on here the worst is not so bad. I mean there is Mogzus I guess :)

j/k I like the way he mixes things up, message boards are for opinionated people to say their piece!
I like old games
I like new games

I'm one of the older members here now aren't I? That's kinda odd. Anyways, I hope that this influx of new users fizzles out. It's hard to keep up with any real worthwhile post now that so many other crap topics sprout up. Personally, I'd like to see deletion of threads that are clones of some previous thread. All of them 10 games on a island, 10 best games ever, etc. We don't need much more than 1. Forum searches work, there's no need to neglect them. Aside from that, I kind of like the whatever section as is in terms of what it encompasses. Maybe splitting up and creating a news section could work out quite nicely. Make things a little more focused. Anyways, just throwing around ideas, take em or leave em.
Don't that just look oh so tasty?

Yeah, here's a big NO to both of those suggestions.

Oh, forgot to throw this out there. Holaback. Disable his thread making privileges, yes, or yes?
