Believe it or not I've never played on Impossible. I don't know why really. Hmm.

Yeah with the added stuff on EW i think there's a bunch more stuff to do betwen missions but i really like all of EU so far.. i would like more customization though. Not sure how i feel with the idea of the MEC troopers.

Not yet, been thinking on doing a playthrough with RB members only. Btw sniper class is the best.

EU gameplay is more patient and strategic. EW adds a sort of chaos because of the MELD stuff. It forces you to play more daring. Sort of encourages you to be ballsy and careless at times. I personally didn't like the mechs that much. And Exalt were jerks. But all the different new content and changes in balance makes it worth playing both for sure.

Yeah, snipers rule.

Personally I like EU better the EW extra content is cool, but I really wish that it was a standalone title or at least had it's own campaign even if it was a short one.

I still think the original Xcom beats the pants off both. Randomly generated maps, free aim, better destructibility, and having to worry about cross fire/missed shots since bullets physically traveled across the map. There was just so much more to those games over the reboot. About the only thing EU had over the original was graphics and voice acting.

Fallout 4. Struggling to enjoy it now I've finished the main story and I'm left with repeatable "go here, shoot this, return" quests.

Welcome to the current Bethesda conondrum. Skyrim was plagued by this and it is the mission rut that ruins the experience when you lift the veil of the main storyline.

I am currently 65 hours into Fallout 4 and absolutely loving it. 70 hours is usually my threshold for long games thesedays, but I'm still going strong here...

That said yeah, the infinite quests and menu clutter is my biggest issue by far. Some NPC's don't even give you the choice and bam, mission started to clutter your menu. They still have the misc category like Skyrim, but there's still tons of quests that take up their own entry that are clearly pointless side quests. I finally figured out that Preston's Minuteman helping quests were worthless last night. At first it was useful for finding new settlement locations... but then all of a sudden I noticed I was talking to random "Settlers" here and there for the quests, and then he gave me one for Sanctuary of all places that was a ghoul problem... I literally had to take out TWO ghouls in a nearby shack. So stupid.

Are they trying to blend in some kind of illusion here with how the quests are organized? It's frankly just really annoying to me. There needs to be three categories, Misc, Random/Pointless, and the main/unique quests.

Don't know what possessed me, but I started up the Tomb Raider reboot. I'm not too far in (I've only made it to the Mountain Village), but so far I'm enjoying it. I like that I'm encouraged to explore areas for items I can used to upgrade my weapons and challenges to improve my skills.

A good chunk of my time so far has been spent backtracking. Once I unlocked Fast Travel I went back to the previous areas so I could open some previously un-openable boxes, snag some extra salvage, finish the Ghost Hunter challenge... and kill off all the wildlife

Except for the wolves. Apparently those little buggers don't respawn, thus killing off my carefully laid plan of revenge.

You'll have to cut me some slack. I'm still suffering from the post-traumatic stress of going into the first Uncharted thinking it was an adventure game and instead I ended up playing Nathan Drake: Poor Jetski driver and Destroyer of Armies :P

Tomb Raider, on the other hand, is so far turning out to be more what I expected to get out of Uncharted. Better exploration, hidden challenges, annoying little critters I can kill for points... Much more along the lines of what I was looking for.

I'm still not fond of the quick-time events, but I'll get the timing down eventually, so that poor Laura doesn't get squashed by another rock (or get strangled, or have her face chewed off by a wolf, or...)
