Sorry, I didn't see your post until now, pierrot, but yeah, this is basically it. I just really like Shenmue and wanted the double soundtrack album.Arenegeth wrote:A soundtrack CD and a fancier box seems to be the only difference.pierrot wrote:Is there anything super extra special with this, or is it just not really available physically, otherwise?Reprise wrote:Japanese Collector's Edition of Shenmue I & II received
There's also a poster, but I'm pretty sure that was included with the western release too.

Oh wow I didn't know about those! Weird to see these late Wii U digital exclusives. I imagine these aren't selling particularly well...prfsnl_gmr wrote:Those Wii U eShop games are the hotness. Have you picked up Snowball or Shadow Archer yet? I think they’d be up you alley.

A lot of late period Wii U exclusives look and play a lot like early period Famicom exclusives...
That said, and all kidding aside, Shadow Archer is actually a really, really rad game. Very fun; very addictive scorechaser with great gameplay and mechanics. Here’s NintendoLife’s spot-on review:

Re: Games Acquired 2018
I have separated the games I got in two categories, New and Retro, new is any game released in the last 5 years and Retro is anything older than that. Listed in no particular order.
New
Notes:
As you can see most of my money went to modern Limited Editions this year and not enough retro games, because of that I have made an edict of sorts to buy a minimum of one retro game a month (Retro being any game from a generation before the last) though last month I actually got a Retro accessory instead, I plan to make up for that by getting 3 new Retro games by the end of the year.
Only new games I plan to get still this year is the Pokémon: Let's Go, Eevee! + Poké Ball Plus Pack version to go with the one I already got and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Limited Edition.
*I don't actually have Shenmue I&II Japanese Collector’s Edition in my hands, is in the DHL offices to be delivered on Monday but I figure I added it despite the distinction.

Re: Games Acquired 2018
Oh hey, I forgot to update for November:
Previous months:
November:
Sushi Striker: The Way of Sushido Switch - £12.99
Total: 1 game - £12.99
Not a whole lot to add this month, but hey, I found a cheap game on the black friday sales, so that's nice!
