NES Classic
Re: NES Classic
The best of the old atari flashbacks was the 2, not the 2+. I'm sure some of you know why, but for those who don't, it was the only true dedicated 2600 in a box, not some dumb hack job/emulated mess. The board was even designed with white etchings on there to show DIY types how to install their own cartridge port to the board so you could throw any game you wanted at it. If you were up for the challenge of that, and modding the shell to fit a game cart you had a modern 2600 ready to go.
Re: NES Classic
They only do composite AV that I've seen, as I believe all the Genesis ones do as well. On the other hand, the Retro-Bit and Neo Geo X (offhand) use HDMI.Stark wrote: Does the Atari Flashback not do HDMI?
Re: NES Classic
I would really like to get one to have but im not paying what people are asking. I will happily wait until the stores have them again or i can get one used.
Re: NES Classic
I think part of the reason people are paying so much on eBay, is Nintendo's track record of short stock followed by no restocking of the product, followed by it becoming overtly expensive. GBA Micro, Mario Anniversary Collection, Metroid Trilogy, etc.mikenac wrote:I would really like to get one to have but im not paying what people are asking. Re: NES Classic
Did not think of that. Hopefully they do restock and hoarders don't buy it all up again.emwearz wrote:I think part of the reason people are paying so much on eBay, is Nintendo's track record of short stock followed by no restocking of the product, followed by it becoming overtly expensive. Re: NES Classic
See but the micro was horrible all around...you might as well be playing on a broken DS as that was much better. I wish instead of the micro it would've been a real backlit ogba instead. OGBA's work so much better they just have that pesky light problem...

Re: NES Classic
Funny, not. I don't see anything that should or would be considered defective or bad about the micro, other than the fact the screen is small so if you have bad eyes it may be an issue. It was no less uncomfortable on the L/R buttons than the SP, and the screen is very clean, crisp, good response time. It just lacks old GB compatibility is all I find wrong with it really.
Re: NES Classic
Well for me it's the screen, size, and backwards compatibility. I was looking forward to it until they dropped that last bombshell since back then I didn't need glasses...

I can totally understand, well, enough so. I have over 20-20 vision which is good and bad. I tend to see stuff that normally someone may not notice and it'll drive me up the wall like stupid scratches and stuff so I get annoyed if I end up with a scratched face plate. Just last weekend I got a good one, but compared to the one I have a beater for under $50 and i've been keeping it in my pocket since then as it's a hell of a solid small go-to when you got a moment.

Wait until after the holidays. Right now scalpers are going to make sure they control the supply line for people desperate to have it on Christmas. Afterwards the demand will be lower and many scalpers will undoubtedly be left needing to get rid of unsold units.mikenac wrote:Did not think of that. Unless Nintendo can really put a healthy supply on the shelf between now and December 25th or you luck out and stumble upon one at retail.
