Not bad I need to find a website that doesn't glitch when I put in the comments as I can never quite calculate what levels my things are at, bugs me. I just know the more amazings and wows the better. You never think much of bug pokemon being excellent but that attack and speed of the scyther makes it stand out.

I hope they reward more players with real coins. It's kind of bullshit you can only squat on a gym for like 20 hours to get the coins and a bit of dust. It just seems highly unreasonable as you have to be in a no traffic area or part of a few (or maybe a group at an office with a gym there or in range) to just squat on it and win which is few people in th big picture. Even the most douchy annoying web or mobile based whale type coining crap apps at least will be cruel and tease a few coins out to try and manipulate you into spending cash. It would be nice if Niantic would do that by some means. Maybe grab 100 pokemon in the pokedex and get a couple hundred coins or something whatever it may be, or maybe 1coin per hour holding a gym.

I never thought much of bug types when I played the 1st and 2nd gen mainline series, I'd catch them but never use them, I remember my Venusaur and Sandslash as well as many electric types got a lot more rotation.

Remember that "Simply amazes me" is 80-100% and will definitely have good numbers, and "Strong, you should be proud" is 66.7-79%, still good and might have a perfect stat.

Also, "Blown Away WOW!" is 15 in at least one category (or more if "equally impressed with its [stat]" preceded the message) and "Excellent stats, how exciting" is 13-14, so even if it doesn't have 15 it's still good.

These messages are for Team Valor, the other 2 teams will say other things similar to this.

As for the coins, there could be other ways of doing it, I would agree. I'd say for most of the time that I'm playing, I'm not in gyms but when I am, even getting 10-20 per day is a big deal. Remember when the Vaporeon stayed in a gym for a solid week? That added up to 70 coins right there. This weekend I got 100, 20 yesterday, and I still have the 2 gyms right now, with an opportunity coming up for even more for I have to be somewhere soon that has gyms on the way back home, so who knows? Getting 20 for days on end isn't a bad thing, and at least they do offer an option to get free coins rather than make everyone pay every time, I see suggestions on the Reddits I follow for Niantic to give candy/dust/coins in other ways, who knows what they might do for us? This game just launched, and we're getting candy with the buddy system now, perhaps some other ways of getting items may be on the way.

I don't follow it deep just kind of pick up what's on the pokemongodb.net and what you've popped off on here about stuff.

The buddy system is huge as it covers one of my big sticking points with the game being screwed never getting a second pokemon of some type, which means no candy, which means they suck more the longer you've had them (due to your lower level) but the candy drop from buddying up can prop up that Snorlax or whatever. The other is their crap handling of the coins only rewarding the top 10% of players I'd guess (maybe it's the lefty's top 1% bullshit smear campaign in play?) who get the money and everyone else struggles dumbed down to a pokemon game of all things. It needs to be addressed somehow. Special events, birthdays/anniversaries, goals for hitting that 3rd star on one of those trophies they have for doing something (walking, catching, evolving, etc.)

Depends on how strong the Dragonair is I suppose. If you go here (choose Evolver) you should be able to figure out if it's worth it or at least how long you'll need to walk to get the candies you'll need. Both take 5km for 1 candy, so the choice is yours.

Well it says for the Dragonair (currently at 814) 1,630 < 1,678 > 1,726

I dropped it for Snorlax for the time being as I already have 1 candy and need a 2nd only. After that I'm somewhat tempted to throw it at some of my pink guys.

Other possibles:
Gloom (916) -> 1,351 < 1,376 > 1,400
Weepinbell (866) -> 1,271 < 1,295 > 1,319
Poliwhirl (717) -> 1,339 < 1,382 > 1,424
Ivysaur (704) -> 1,113 < 1,136 > 1,160
Jigglypuff (494) -> 1,171 < 1,246 > 1,320
Goldeen (488) -> 1,033 < 1,079 > 1,126
Ponyta (757) -> 1,098 < 1,119 > 1,140

Also have both charmander and squirtle that'll rank to around 1070 (avg) final form. That's all I have that can evolve worth a crap at all I believe. I have others but they don't break the 1000cp level.

I also have outside of this 3 eeves with 597, 585, and 584 (the weakest here is loved the best in comments)

Also had just got out of a 5k egg a nice set of eggs, evolved it to exeggutor and came out my #2 with 1573CP, not the best move set, but it isn't as bad as before with no spread on ability (no grass on it.) This one has confusion and seed bomb. Accompish anything, atk strongest, blown away by stats wow. My screwball no fire attack arcanine just edges it out at 1575.

The buddy system takes enough walking that you really have to invest in it for the long haul.

I agree, maybe not so much on the 1km stuff, and there are a few interesting items in there that can get pretty annoying (jiggly/wigglypuff) but yeah for the 3 and definitely the 5km it's a job if your job doesn't require a lot of walking -- plus probably carrying an added recharge portable battery as Go eats the hell out of the mobile battery in a couple hours or so.

UPDATE GET!

So I'm doing the Ash Ketchum thing, because I really want a Raichu! (and it's only 1km for a candy)
Image
The only problem I see with the new update so far is the amount of time it takes to login and load up the game (Gyarados screen), it takes a little longer than the previous update.

I took 3 more gyms today, but lost 2, so now I'm at 3 total, with the 2 I still had yesterday intact. Turns out the gym I trained at yesterday leveled up to 7 so that was nice.

I even got a cool screenshot of a battle I had today! BUG BUZZ!
Image
That Exeggutor you got with Seed Bomb I'd keep there Tanooki. Last week I found just how FRUSTRATING it is to fight one that has Seed Bomb, because it's a multi-meter attack, it doesn't take long for a defensive Exeggutor to literally spam it 2-3 times in a row if you're spamming quick attacks, no joke. That especially wreaks havoc on a single-meter attacker. One after the other makes it difficult to dodge!
