I'm not gonna lie, I think I would have much better selection of women within my range of hobbies and interests from Europe/Germany. Country radio stations in Texas are to metal stations in Germany- all over the fucking place.

Some of the most beautiful women I've ever seen are European, particularly some Russian, Czech, and German girls. Plus, I heard quite a few travelers come back to the states and say how much better women are over there, particularly in how nice and not shallow they are. Plus, a lot of European people in general seem less uptight about lots of things, including sexuality(you should some of the stuff they get away with in commercials over there).

I have a fairly good grasp of French and some European blood in my family tree, so I'd like to visit France and other parts of Europe some day. I agree about Germany being big into metal. That fits with what I've heard from other people.

Haha I was gonna post this but you beat me to it. I need to get around to buying Dommedagsnatt eventually. When I was 15 I saw a copy at a Virgin Megastore of all places, but I ended up buying a couple of Opeth CDs instead.

I actually found Dommedagsnatt on vinyl at a local Hastings once (I guess it's similar to a place like HMV?). Surprised the hell out of me since the vinyl selection is pretty small to begin with.

Listened to some Thorr's Hammer today during computer class. Its really hard to explain to the substitute what I'm listening too. "Well, its metal." "Be more specific." "Uhh, Norwegian doom metal sung by a woman."

And, he frickin' recognized it when I played some for him!!

I played Alcest during a couple of study halls during the final weeks of the last school year. One kid got really into it, think he went out and bought a CD.

That's cool. I have one person in my class who doesn't get bothered by my prefences in music, like others do.

It bothers me how awkward it is when I listen to this stuff around most people. They don't get it...

I've had trouble sharing music with my class, but past band teachers are the worst. In band class the teacher goes "Who likes rock? Who likes rap? who likes pop? Who likes that screamy stuff? Wait, YOU like that screamy stuff?" Never mind that I was at the top of the class. I was now a pathetic, hateful excuse for a musician.

"Yeah. I play a lot of death metal. And jazz, flamenco, classic rock, traditional Japanese-"

In my case, its more of nosy people. Its odd having a girl you have never talked to in your life, who has said around you before that she thought you were creepy, walk up next to you, take your headphones, and say, "What is this crap?"

Weird as fuck.
