It's not just Nintendo. Try browsing Craigslist. I've seen plenty of PSPs listed in my area for $200+ and just about every one of them is noticeably scratched to hell and has a missing charger that, "can be bought for cheap." And heaven forbid they come with games because most of them are "slightly broken, but play fine." Whatever the hell that means
Just did, have really nothing good in the area so far. I love some of these listings.
- "I lost the cable" - "Unsure if works" - "A scratch here and it won't press down well but still ok"
Yeah. Great way to put faith in your product. Yet these idiotic bidders keep slurping it up thinking YEAH GREAT DEAL

Ticked - Spent the last two days in training learning a new billing system for three more markets the team of five I work on just picked up (effectively tripling the workload at same pay with no new headcount - apparently this is called job security). And instead of training everyone on this critical new function, they trained me and I have to train the others next week, while taking calls at my desks...
Smiled - On one of the coffee breaks of training, I walked into the boss of my hiring managers office (VP of a different department). I spoke with him for about five minutes, enough to show that I am not a dumbass and I am very interested in a position if he has an opening (rumor is he is about to open a new support position). As I was leaving last night he stopped by my stall* in our cube farm and said to apply to the position that just opened. So I logged back in and applied. This morning the job was taken down. I wont know for sure until Tuesday, but there is a good chance I just got a new position doing similar work that I do now, but my boss will be my hiring manager, Ill have a laptop with a 3g connection, and will be allow to occasionally work from home and on the road. Oh, did I mention that it is a 10k pay boost and I dont have to work with the sycophantic coworker and boss? I think I did.
*I say stall since my cube is a workstation now. It is a desk, 3ft deep, 5ft wide, with a 4ft wall around it. With 22 other people within spitting distance. It is more akin to being cattle. They claimed our productivity will skyrocket because of it, mine has stagnated since I cant hear myself think.
Yup! It's fun to just browse sometimes. It was something I don't NEED, but I have enough patience to keep plugging away.
Which leads me to another TICK: Why don't people put pride and care into their consoles (sometimes)? I know everyone here on Racketboy are the sole exception to the rule, I see maintenance guides and I see people put a lot of passion into retro gaming and that's why I love it here. But yet people will sell beaten up, scratched to all heck, broken-hinged portable systems. I know that there are lot of units and listings for parts only, but these are classified under "Used". More like "Ab-USED" AMIRITE?!

This is how you get promoted. When you show that you exceed doing the work of your current job. Most companies that I work at want you to do the work of the next level before you get promoted.

Yo, good luck!

Frown: Have a real itch to go out this weekend, something that does not happen that often. Problem is I had too many bills this last pay check so my fun money for the rest of the week is effectively zero. There is just something irresponsible about borrowing from a savings account to go drinking!
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

Right outside of Boulder. Wouldn't even care if I didn't have to drive in it, but at least it stopped snowing through mid-day. It's picking back up now though.
