I've got to admit, usually I'm not a sports fan. Especially not sports video games. But toss mario or rpg elements in there and I'm game. That said I'll have to add that ds title to my list now. Didn't even know that one existed....

The DS/3DS is a great portable system with stuff I never knew existed until now. I'm starting to get a itch for it and trying to fight it until i finish what I'm working on now...

Yup $60 for that even minus the $100~ tablet controller is a steal given all those games. The system I don't feel was underrated, but definitely untapped, under utilized, and under (dis) respected completely.

darsparx: Most definitely. The DS itself got overlooked by a lot because of the touch mechanics and because people whined it was a ghetto N64 level thing again the ps2 wannabe Vita with its so-so console looking ports. Truth be told though, that system had to have a lot larger budget to pop out games to service a lot smaller pool of buyers. Because of that there are a LOT of third party gems on the DS that would blow you away both 2D and 3D.

The 3DS not so much, still a big library but things have rolled into needing a more inclusive (Switch?) like tablet system(android) like thing. It has a lot of solid games, but the brunt of those came out in the first couple of years or so, and it has been a solid slower steady trickle of decency since. Best bet is a New3DSXL, exploit the ability to do DS on it, then find what works on 3DS so you got yourself covered. So much DS stuff other than a few oddities is cheap as or cheaper than the old retail price complete so it's a valued system to go for on a budget if you want quality and portability.

With consumers and devs they just can't win ha ha. Still wish there was a way to attach a adapter of some sort and do gb/c/a on the thing too. That would be awesome. I'd love to have a all in one thing without hacking/flash carts....

Any kind of adapter would just be using emulation, hacking, or flash carts anyway. The 3DS simply does not contain Gameboy hardware.

But hey, you've got the eShop for gameboy games, game gear games too.

I know but still....I can dream can't I? It just stinks that they never made a special version that could do it all. I'd buy that in a heartbeat. So much stuff between gb to ds that sometimes I have a hard time picking between just a few or deciding what to play when I do get to playing them. Even though I really want to do a pokemon/zelda(including the console stuff of the latter) marathon eventually. Even though I'm still missing a key few games last I checked of each. i'm definitely going to have to draw a map of the first one though(I could search for one but where would the fun in that be?) plus i get lost to heck and back every time I've played the original zelda...

I've got a decent library of GBA games I started collecting a few months ago, until some life stuff got in the way. Plus, I started playing more stuff on PS4 too. I do have some cool games CIB though like Drill Dozer, Counter Punch, Dragon Ball: Advanced Adventure and some other cool stuff.

I'm always amazed at how many hidden gems there are on Nintendo handhelds, the GBA has become my favorite though because I like having a SNES 2

Cool deal, Juan. I'm glad you're enjoying the GBA. Have you looked into the Game Boy Player for Gamecube?

Not yet, but I'd like too. I honestly don't find any of the GBA models (or the DS Lite) perfect for playing GBA games. They each have their drawbacks (poor lighting on original GBA, cart sticking out on DS Lite, etc.). So the Game Boy Player seems appealing. Then I really would have a SNES 2
