Hey!

20 years old, gamer since the Mega Drive. Currently playing Battle Garegga (really into shmups at the moment), Ninja Gaiden 2, and VF 5 (with my first arcade stick:)). Can't play any of them well  ! I'm generally dissatisfied with the current trends of gaming (God of War, Gears of War etc.) and hoping to find a people with a bit of knowledge outside of mainstream gaming.

Systems: Mega Drive, Psx, N64, Saturn (pal and ntsc-j), Ps2, Xbox, GC, 360, GB, and DS.

It's a pleasure to meet you all!

Hi I'm ryan I am 21 and I'm from california, pretty much been into gaming since the snes and I guess I am stuck in the past, I've played all the newest games over the past 16 years but I still haven't be able to get the hang of those dang analog sticks controls on certain games which puts me at a severe disadvantage on first person shooters especially.

Welcome! I'm the Doctor, and I think that analog sticks and FPS games are garbage. You will fit right in...have fun!

Hi there,

I'm 22, studying Computer Science and live in a very happy relationsship.

My interest in gaming used to be of a casual kind, but in autumn 2006 I became a dedicated retro gamer / collector after watching a video by the Irate Gamer. I then had to buy an NES and when looking for good games for it I found racketboy's excellent website.

My favourite genres are RPGs, Action Adventures and recently also 2D shooters. Ocassionally I enjoy platformers, action or fighting games.

As of now, I own a NES, SNES, Gamecube with Gameboy Player, PS1, PS2, Sega Master System and Mega Drive. I consider the first Playstation the greatest console of all time, but I am also very fond of the first two Nintendo consoles. I am not interested in anything prior to the NES or Master System, Microsoft consoles or the current generation of consoles.

When I find the time I enjoy movies, literature and writing my own stuff (previously short stories, now I'm working on an J-RPG inspired audio book).

When it comes to music, I especially like the dark, ambient city soundscapes found on the soundtracks of Twin Peaks and Silent Hill and the albums of Bohren & der Club of Gore. If anyone knows about more music of this kind, please tell me! I also enjoy a few bands that play japanese rock (MUCC, Dir en grey), Metal (Blind Guardian, Dream Theater) and Pop (Gorillaz, Depeche Mode).

Edit: Almost forgot: FOOD! I love eating and like a lot of dishes, as long as there's no meat or fish involved (don't worry, I am no nosy moralist, just don't like it). Among my favourites are home-made sandwiches and pasta.

Hello, joining in here.

I'm 21 and a Network Engineer.

Been gaming since math rabbit on a 386 when I was 3 years old and gained an odd love for retro gaming about 5 years ago. Since then my collection has increased drastically and includes:

NES, SNES, N64, GCN, WII, Genesis, 32X, Saturn, Dreamcast, Xbox, Xbox 360, PS2, Turbo-Grafix 16 and CD, 3DO, Atarti 2600, 2800, 7800, Jaguar, Intellivision, Virtual Boy and probably another one here and there I've missed.
