If you liked Blow and Boogie Nights there's a good chance you'll like this.
It's not as good as the above mentioned, but it's still highly entertaining.
It's better than Rated X though. The movie with Charlie Sheen, not the genre... lol

Resident Evil Afterlife.
Wow was that ever exactly what i thought it would be.
It still amazes me that they bothered to incorporate any of the game characters into these movies when Alice is the only person allowed to do anything. Why even call it resident evil?

Re: What was the last movie you've seen?
so I finally saw Scott Pilgrim last night. Here's what's odd, I sort of loved it, but sort of didn't if that makes sense. Like I really enjoyed the whole movie. And I loved so many of the video game references. I think my favorite was when he died and had to start the level over.
I was pretty much laughing the entire time. And yet when it was over I was like, "alright. Well. I've seen it now. No need to ever watch it again."

Just the other night I watched a hilarious movie called Excanaba In Da Moonlight. It is Jeff Daniel's parody of hunting. When the Boyfriend told me about it, I was really skeptical but man, was I wrong. It was funny, to me anyway. I think we laughed so hard we cried at one point.

The Bridge- a documentary about how the suicides that occur from people jumping off the Golden Gate Bridge . A very intense movie in that you will see somewhere between 7 and 10 people jump off the bridge during the movie. The Bridge does however offer a very interesting look at suicide and how it affects the people going through with it, and the people close to them. Great Film, do not watch if you don't think you can handle it.
The Third Man- so many times classics like this are very hyped up and I end up not liking them. This was an exception. The Third Man is a masterfully crafted film noir murder mystery starring Joe Cotten who is going to Vienna to get a job from his friend, the only problem is that when he gets there, his friend is dead! Watch the rest of the movie to find out what happens, but the cinematography in this movie is just great, with a lot of backgrounds at a slight slant, it makes some of the shots look crazy! (similar to cabinet of Dr. Caligari) great soundtrack too! ha, overall- one of the better film noir pictures I have seen

I felt the same way about the movie.noiseredux wrote:I was pretty much laughing the entire time. And yet when it was over I was like, "alright. Well. I've seen it now. No need to ever watch it again."
I think being so gag based is both a blessing and a curse for it. It makes the film very fun to watch but I kind of felt that it didn't have anything for me if I ever came back for a second time.
It didn't happen to me when reading the comic, I come back to it several times. Probably the reason is that the characters in the movie are simpler to fit them in the film.
I still think it's a very fun film and will probably watch it again with some geek friends sooner or later.

Saw: the Final Chapter
It says it's the final movie, but how many other movies have done this and then went on to make another dozen sequels? Just of the top of my mind:
Friday the 13th: the "Final" Chapter
a Nightmare on Elm street: the "Final" Nightmare
