Ooooh I didn't mean anything into being entitled, it's why I didn't say that. It's just that the direction I shot for was a lot of media strung up bs with not even a grain of potential fact to the rumor. It was a big fat wish list with no Nintendo trolling in the slightest, much like Mother 3 for all these years until that story the other day about some needing so much re-work it just never was going to happen.
Sure it makes sense, but does Nintendo rarely do what does make sense? Their last 2 consoles, and now the Switch, little of that made sense to a lot of people at first aside from them, though the Switch at least fit the mold in their country, and that is the point, they're Japanese centric still 35 years later. And is Metroid anything the Japanese love, yeah, about as much as an Xbox console.
I do think it could/should happen, but more of an E3 or PAX apology reveal for the delay. It needs a window of like 3mo around it to fall into the center as to not harm potential sales for their true new things, so now is a bad bad time for it. Perhaps let's say Metroid Prime 4 was so god awful that wasn't just a partial but day one restart, it would make sense for late this year early next until 2020 Christmas when it could arrive.
I do hope/will only buy Bloodstained if it's physical on Switch. Switch is mobile, but digital games have more mobility on Steam and Gog, so I'd look there first and being aged, pay notably less in rotating discount weeks/sales/events.

Re: Switch Discussion Thread
yeah I hear you. I know they never actually said anything about Prime Trilogy. I feel like there were some rumors, but nothing directly from Ninty. And yes, it's exactly like Mother 3. When they gave us Earthbound on VC, and then gave us an official Mother translation on VC, you'd THINK that Mother 3 was the next obvious release, but... no. So it's just that same thing. Trilogy seems like something obvious to announce, which does not mean it will happen haha.
Re: Switch Discussion Thread
I tried out the Daemon x Machina demo last night. It definitely has that Armored Core DNA, but it cuts back on some of the needless complexity of more recent entries. Your customization is head, body, legs, each arm, and a CPU. You can carry a weapon in each hand, a backup weapon on each arm (and you can swap between any backup and any hand), you get a shoulder weapon (which is things like missiles), and then there's an auxiliary slot that wasn't used in the demo that I'm assuming is for some extra mobility enhancements. You also get a mutually exclusive skill tree for your pilot; if you pick option A you can't pick option B and can only get children of A in the tree. You do have the option of resetting it, but you'll be out the money you spend on it. Your pilot gets skills through money from missions while it appears your mech is only upgraded through snagging parts off of downed enemy mechs; one part per mech even though they might drop two or three at a time.
The game is a bit more mobile than AC; you have infinite flight you can engage in at any time, and the boost feels a bit more available. There's a larger color palette as well. There's a lot more emphasis on friendly NPCs; several missions has friendly mechs helping you out, and they can win the mission for you. The thing ends with a giant boss fight that does have one really annoying mechanic that needs to be fixed, but it reminded me of the 4 Answer mobile fort bosses. All in all, it was a solid experience but it definitely still needs some developmental rounding.

Re: Switch Discussion Thread
not a solid confirmation of physical release, but Best Buy is listing Mario Maker 2 and Link's Awakening for preorder sku's already.
Re: Switch Discussion Thread
Bloodstained has already been confirmed as physical for all consoles. At least, it is for backers. I imagine it will be the case for retail as well and see no reason why it won't be, given what a huge success the KS was.

Re: Switch Discussion Thread
LRG has the new Toejam & Earl up for pre-order, but that one's supposed to be coming to Best Buy, too so I don't know if I'll jump on it now.

While this is true, per Limited Run:
Best Buy will be receiving 7,000 copies of this game on Switch from us with a different, non-foil, cover. Best Buy's copies will not be available until a later date and will likely not overlap our own preorder window. Please understand that if you sit out on our open window in order to try and secure a copy through Best Buy, you may be left empty handed. Best Buy also has the ability to not move forward with their order, as it has not been finalized yet. Opt to wait at your own risk.
Just some food for thought.
Re: Switch Discussion Thread
Unspoken is that if it takes a while to sell out from LRG, Best Buy may decide it's not worth it.

Unlike the other releases, all standard Switch games are open pre-orders (the Collectors sets are a different story). So there is no real risk of them selling out before the open pre-order dates close. In the case of ToeJam & Earl, everyone has until March 30th to order.
Of course, that doesn't mean Best Buy won't eventually consider it's not worth it.
