Restrepo- doc. about the current war in Afghanistan, and a small outpost called Restrepo, very intense documentary and one of the more interesting parts is that there is no narration!
El Topo- weird "acid western" about god knows what, ha. Just Kidding, but this is one of the weirder movies I have seen. The first part of the movie was great, with a slight narrative, with its own trippy twist, it was great, the second half of the movie however completely lost me, I will have to re-watch at somepoint
12 Monkeys- I love Brad Pitt I love Bruce Willis I love Terry Gilliam I love 12 Monkeys-- essentially a bad ass time travel movie, that kind of reminded me of the matrix, there is an older French movie called la Jetee (the pier) that it was based off of that I can not wait to see
Dr. Strangelove is one of my all time favorites. Glad you liked it. I have
El Topo sitting around and have been meaning to watch it - I picked it up after seeing
The Holy Mountain, which I thoroughly recommend for even more mind-fuck gorgeous strangeness. I also recently rewatched
12 Monkeys and plan to watch
la Jetee soon...it is actually a short, iirc.
Yeah, I watched Strangelove on Blu-Ray, which I must say was gorgeous. I bought the Jodorowsky box set, so Holy Mountain is in my stack right now

I saw on Netflix that Jetee was a short, which was kind of exciting (for the sake of time!)
I watched yesterday and right now
Don't Look Now- recently Time Out London gave this their number one movie of all time, so I watched it on Netflix Instant, very good movie, very creepy, but by no means the best British movie ever
The Great Yokai War- fucking crazy horror/sci-fi/childrens/fantasy japanese movie, by the great Takashi Miike- very weird, and kind of confusing, but entertaining in the same way power rangers is (with better acting)
