So what should I look into to getting that fixed or looked at? Maybe that's the root of my weird revving problem I have, usually when idling. It seems to happen most often on rainy days or in the morning (caused by the dew?), huh. I've googled around for answers and such though, and it just seems so vague to talk about at shops. Kind of clueless where to start after the battery/alternator and radiator were all recently replaced.
If it happens more when it is damp, maybe you have a coil or spark plug wires that are cracked.

I see, I'll have to get the wires looked at sometime then. Are you talking wires that are above the hood connected to the engine? I've got some bigass annoying cover for mine, so I wonder if the problem will be obvious if I take that off to see everything.

The coil pack generates the charge that is send down the wires to the spark plugs. The spark plugs ignite the gas to make things go. I think you mentioned that your car was 10 years old or something before. If the wires are original, the insulation on them is likely a bit cracked by now and might be letting moisture in. If either are letting dampness in, they can cause wackiness and misfires or short so your car just stalls out like that.

Stealing that pic if you don't mind for me.

Scored a replacement Dreamcast off Ebay with 2 extra controllers, extra VMU and spare A/V cable (which I needed to replace anyway) for $41 and FREE SHIPPING.

I'll be able to do TR Soul Calibur when it gets in!

Yup, 1996. Probably a dumb vague question, but do spark plugs generally come with wires or anything? Since I got the plugs replaced back a few years ago when I worked at Jiffy Lube, one of my managers did it... not sure if he messed with any wires though. It kind of sounds like it could be that though since it's a rough ride now, I always ask about the transmission whenever I get stuff done on it but everyone always says it's looking good, fluids still looking pretty clear. I've got 170k on it though so maybe 180k or 200k is the next time I'd really need that looked at. I'm just all confused about these more complex issues, but it definitely sounds like you might have pinpointed the issue though. Hopefully I can get it figured out soon.

no you normally buy the wires seperatly if the spark plugs and wires are not the problem check the distributer cap it is the circle plastic thing that the wires hook to
sometimes they need replace cause moisture gets in them hope this helps

Smile: Replaced my first GBC battery today, in a copy of Pokemon Gold. The best part is it was my girlfriends as she was missing the game as she couldn't save anymore. This means brownie points for me ;)

Kinda Ticked: The battery was dated at January 2001. You would think the battery would have lasted longer?

It could also be a bad or failing censor, like an oxygen censor. You don't have any dash lights on, like a check engine light? Also, check the air filter and see if that needs replacement.

Redline and I went to pinballz, this huge arcade in Austin. Just being there is enough to make a face smile for a few days:

But the real kicker was that Genie, my favorite pinball table on the Gotlieb collection, was there. And it was awesome! Also, how often do you see X-Men, Ninja Turtles, and The Simpsons fully operational and right next to each other!?

Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?
