I'll casually smoke sometimes if I'm drinking, usually just for kicks to start coughing though. I've been around it all my life though so probably got enough second hand smoke in me as it is. Just learned my younger sister started smoking though the other day, lol.
Waste of money to me.

Yeah honestly the reason I quit was because I didn't have enough money to support my smoking and video game habit (no job) so I picked video games. True story. lolXeogred wrote:I'll casually smoke sometimes if I'm drinking, usually just for kicks to start coughing though. A friend of mine is going to attempt to quit smoking soon.
I've had arguments (not serious ones) with him before where he claimed not to have enough money for anything, (despite the fact that he makes more money than I do by a fair amount) and I would tell him that if he'd just quit the damn smokes he'd have money for whatever the hell he wanted. He never had an answer for it.
P.S. Edit: Yes smokers, I know its hard. I'm not criticizing, just relating a joke between friends.

I do have one friend that goes months without smoking sometimes though. It's pretty weird and funny, but yeah I guess he's a lucky case of being able to come off it whenever he wants.

The government taxes cigarettes too much in my opinion. I don't smoke, but the way I see it, the government's exploiting the addicts. It's rather sad, especially when you consider how poor off some of them already are.

I smoke Marb reds and they're 10 on the nose where I live.Ziggy587 wrote:$10/pack in NY.
I've quit cold turkey without any cravings after a week and have known several others that have done so as well. It's not that rough really. No where near as rough as the withdrawals you get from dropping a substance that makes your body physically dependent on it. I've quit smoking for as long as 2 years at a time, but some time along the line I always end up getting the idea to buy a pack, and wind up picking the habit back up. I smoke irregularly though, usually only burn about 3 packs a week.CFFJR wrote:P.S. Edit: Yes smokers, I know its hard. I'm not criticizing, just relating a joke between friends.
Honestly though, it's not that hard of a habit to drop, so long as you actually want to drop it.
