My daughter has been watching me traverse the dungeons. She's really getting into it. "Uh oh this room is dark!" "Get the key, get the key!" She even told me that the bow looks like a "D for Daddy" which had me rofling.

Oh, but she's referring to Link as "Zelda" - this must be rectified.

Gonna head into dungeon #6 tonight.

This plushie. You should get it for her.

They're also supposed to be pretty decently sized (the dimensions say 10x9x8), so you could get all three, give her Link, and use the other two as decorative throw pillows for the game room.

Going through metal gear solid 2 on the legacy collection after 7 hours i can definetly say that finding bombs is annoying (glad that is over) the back and forth between Rose and Raiden is boring and a bit lame and its trying a bit too hard on repeat the same stuff from the first game (We really need another cyborg ninja?) In terms of mechanics its better and more polished than the first one, still waiting on the over the top scenes, there already a few plaaying as Snake, but i guess those come later in the game.

So I was ready to declare Valiant Hearts: The Great War one of my favorite games ever...until I got to those obnoxious nurse levels with the fifty thousand stupid quick time event healing mini games. My god, did that game go from brilliant to fucking stupid quick

There seems to be something terribly sexist about the female character being the one with all the shitty gameplay segments while the two dudes are actually fun to play as.

The first game on was on MSX, and Metal Gear Solid practically rips it off wholesale. Get used to repeating ideas in the series.

The first time I played MG2 (after playing MGS 1-3), I was blown away by how much of the gameplay mechanics that we think of as being integral to MGS were already solidified in MG2.

It's a really good title IMO. I'd rate it above Portable Ops.
