I was annoyed I didn't get the physical version of Star Fox Guard. When I pre-ordered Star Fox on the Wii U, there was only one version of the game (I think it was before the Guard announcement). I just assumed that Guard came with all early/day one copies. I didn't realise it was only in a special edition. I would have upgraded my pre-order had I known, but communication was really poor on that situation imo. Or maybe I was just a dumbass. I only found out when my game arrived without Guard and I looked it up on the internet and realised my mistake.

Good news, folks. The hardware is virtually identical to the NES Classic.

Hopefully it has an equally exploitable USB charging port.

I read the UK version doesn't come with a power brick. Did they cheap out on the US too? I'd rather not try and find something to power it with as that's just an added infuriating cost if I don't have something already.

It would seem that is indeed the case.

"Cheaped out" on a power brick? These just come with USB cables, right?

Mine is processing for delivery tomorrow. I hope they give me my delivery slot soon. I really hope it's the afternoon, as the wife is out in the morning and I'm at work all day.

A recent teardown suggests the internals of this box are identical to the NES Classic Mini. Seems like they picked a powerful enough chipset that they didn't have to change anything. It might also explain why they cut off production of the NES Classic Mini when they did: to build inventory for the SNES Classic Mini. Once they deal with most of the demand for the SNES Classic Mini they can do another run of the NES Classic Mini and see where they stand once the dust settles.

He said we already have them and we have plenty to go around
I asked how many he said I can’t say I said 50 he said he can’t say
I said 100 and he smiles and he he can’t say and throws his finger up like more in stock

He told me if I show up at 6am you will get one no problem

I hope he wasn’t lying. That pumped me up so much

I've seen that, reminds me of my old posts how hard core the NES hardware was that 60fps locked N64 games could run on it on a hacked box. Pleased to see that the guess work many had about that seeing the breakdown on the older box were correct to figure what Nintendo may be up to.

You're probably right they cut off the NES as this was planned and once they fill out the mess through June or so next year that the NES will return too.

Oh I called Nintendo since I didn't see anything about it, but the UK release has no AC Adapter in the box! The US one does, works just fine for whoever gets one tonight or tomorrow morning on.
