For a nongamer, yes.

I 100% disagree, I think a snes controller is easier to use for someone whos never played a game than the wii mote and motion controls... snes is much simpler.

We are just going to have to agree to disagree then. Because I can only use examples from my personal life. I know my father and grandmother can use the wiimote competently and cannot use the SNES controller.

Ok, so the next order of business... how much for EACH controller Nintendo? *shudders at thought*

The current Wii/PS3/360 controllers (without built-in video screens) usually retail somewhere in the realm of.. what - $30-$60?

This could get scary, folks. :|

I'll pay up to 129 for one of em. Maybe 149. Any more than that and I'll wait for a price drop or used ones.

Maybe not. It could very well be around $60 - $80. I am reading that the controller isn't as advanced as it looks. Though built well and containing an HD screen, it looks like the display is not multitouch. That would significantly lower production cost.

Wow.

So let's just say the system is $299, additional controllers are $129, and a must-have game at launch is $59... that's almost $500! Way over that if you're adding tax. And then what about an extended warranty?

If all the processing is happening on the console, like they said, then you can expect these controllers to be reasonable. Reasonable as in it won't be like each controller is the cost of a 3DS. That said, I would not be surprised to see these for $120 or something like that. We will not see any prices on anything until next year I'm sure.

The controller alone is hella-sexy IMO. I personally would have loved this instead of the 3DS as Nintendo's next portable. However, with all that hardware I'm worried that the controllers will be extremely expensive. May be worth it for the hacking potential though.

BTW, was anyone disappointed that we saw no new IP from nintendo? I mean I love mario and zelda games as much as anyone else, but at some point nintendo created these franchises. They created Kirby later on, I guess earthbound was sort of in there, but seriously, when will they make something else? And anyone that counts the Mii stuff or wii sports, resort, all that stuff skip that argument and get to something that is actually a story with substance.

Mario Party 9 biotch.

According to this: http://e3.nintendo.com/games/#/wii/

We'll get LoZ Skyward Sword, Kirby Wii , Mario Party 9 and 7 other games.

According to this: http://www.nintendo.com/games/detail/Mm ... HrhhNU57I6

Link's Awakening will be on the 3DS Virtual Console. So I'm guessing that a couple of websites had the info wrong.
