No no. When I said it didn't work on some computers, sort of like ME, I didn't mean that I was using ME. I was running 98. But if you say it works fine on 7, I might give it a shot.Ack wrote:Well, you don't still have Windows ME do you?

Thanks for the reminder. I have always heard great things about this one and still need to check it out. I always forget its on the PC/Steam too.Ack wrote:or Return to Castle Wolfenstein.
Wolfenstein 2009 was awful though, yuck!

Re: What single player FPS campaign are you playing?
I am playing Resistance: Fall of Mankind, first FPS I have for the PS3 and I am enjoying it quite a lot.
The controller scheme takes awhile to get use to after years of the 360 controller, the sticks just feel loose and not tight as well as the, as well as the should buttons swapping and clicking R3 to look down the sites. I am use to it now, but my hands are still cramping up a little bit.
Found it amazing people still play the game online, played a few matches to see how PSN worked for me and it was pretty smooth.
It's a shame the game was never patched to include trophies.

RtCW has one of the best flamethrowers ever put in an FPS.Xeogred wrote:Thanks for the reminder. I have always heard great things about this one and still need to check it out. I always forget its on the PC/Steam too.Ack wrote:or Return to Castle Wolfenstein.

Chief, Return to Castle Wolfenstein is great, and if you can find some buddies to play multiplayer with, it gets even better.
Anyway, I just beat Iron Storm. Now onto Painkiller: Resurrection.

Re: What single player FPS campaign are you playing?
Do the Painkiller games change much? I was talking with someone else about them and sounds like the first game gets easy and repetitive with boring map design, lol...
Re: What single player FPS campaign are you playing?
There are a few levels which stand out in Painkiller as far as being pretty cool (especially the last one), but yeah, they're generally "move into a room and kill a horde of enemies." I equate it to Serious Sam, if that tells you anything. The Battle Out of Hell expansion has some really interesting level designs, but it features more of the hordes of enemies...they're just harder to kill this time.
It's also got some absolutely great weapons though, so it makes up for some of the problems. The stake gun is my baby.

Re: What single player FPS campaign are you playing?
Yeah, he compared it to Serious Sam and said it's not nearly as good, haha. But oh well, I'll play it for myself and think it'll be some good mindless fun. I like how it feels a lot like Unreal too (2004 engine I think?).
