And alienate the environmentalists?
We could cut down a few trees and throw them in too.

Aw shit. It's not "burn a crayon" day on 9/11?

Fuck.

I bought 64 of those suckers (it even came with a sharpener in the box!). Now this makes more sense. I thought Rose Art was pissed off at crayola monopolizing kids crafts.

The trees or the environmentalists?

The solution to this is that we all sit back, let people burn both Korans and American flags, and think about it as a stimulus to Koran publishers and American flag manufacturers.

The only problem is that the Korans and flags probably come from China.

We'll burn some copies of an irritating, I mean, An Inconvenient Truth.

Apparently the Koran Burning Man had a lapse of sanity and decided to cancel it.

...and there are still talks to relocate the islamic cultural center. Honestly, hope they do so this whole fiasco can be put behind us. All things considered it's probably a dangerous place to put it at this point anyhow.

(You know, the fact that they're willing to discuss relocating it kinda throws a wrench the whole THEY WANT TO BUILD A MOSQUE BECAUSE THEY'VE CONQUERED THE LAND bull.)

While at lunch at work today (the news was on the tv in the breakroom), a news story came on about a small group u.s. soldiers killing afghan civilians. The response from the folks in the room was something along the lines of "I don't blame them" followed by sensationalist crap about muslims trying to take over the world.

I think it's pretty abhorrent that some folks are excusing things like killing innocent civilians for fun simply because of the race and religion of the victims.

I think that says a lot about much of America's perception of Islam. Many of us STILL strongly believe that all Muslims are extremists and terrorists.
